FC: "They're in a Better Place Now." By Eleanor Clifton
When my Mom told me that we had to put Tasha down, I cried my eyes out. The day you had to be put to sleep,my sisters and I let you do whatever you wanted including give you your favorite food, pizza. We loved you more than ever that day. We made sure my dad wasn't around because he was attached to her so much. Driving you to the vet was even harder for us because we knew that it would be the last time we would ever see you again. For me, even though you stole my breakfast almost every morning when I was young, it was to painful for me to go into the vet's office.
Before I was ever born, we had a dog named Misty. She died from cancer right in my dad's lap. My dad was so upset. If I was there, I would have been right there next to him.
Don't live in the past though, there are lots of ways to get a loved one out of your head. For example, get a new dog!!!!!! That's what we did. We adopted a dog named Kelly from the humane society about three months later. Then the summer after that we got a puppy named Sasha from a breeder. They live with us and are as happy as can be.
We all love them, whether they"re dead...
 Or not.
