FC: A Love Story | Vincent and La Shawn | L O V E | 1st Anniversary Edition

1: The Day it all "officially" started | After PL & MOM's Father's Day Salute on June 20, 2009, Vince and I had dinner at Copper Canyon Grill in Centreville, VA

2: I’d just broken up from yet another bad relationship and decided it was time to take care of my own personal needs. In doing that, I was quickly promoted and was able to move to the State of Virginia. God is good. I’ve had a passion for music since I was a child. I’d previously been involved with several groups, choirs, and a lead vocalist for the Navy Band. An opportunity presented itself and I was asked if I would be interested in auditioning for one of the most prominent gospel groups in the DC area. Patrick Lundy and The Ministers of Music has been a blessing to me in so many ways. My walk with Christ has truly grown. I’m able to sing His praises for the countless blessings and showers of mercy He has bestowed upon me, and I met the Love of my life. A great songwriter must endure an enormous amount of emotions in order for the music, the story, to touch the lives of those who share a similar story. Songs like “Never Had a Love Like This Before” by Tavares and “Nothing Has Ever Felt Like This” by Will Downing and Rachelle Farrell are just two of the many testimonies I have for La Shawn. I noticed her immediately and soon I noticed her noticing me. We decided to have dinner one night after a concert and I’ve been falling since that day. | HIS STORY

3: It was the fall of 2008. Time for another exciting season with Patrick Lundy & The Ministers of Music. As with every new choir season, we have new members. Vince was one of them. The first time I saw him, he had on a suit. The next rehearsal - another suit. Third rehearsal - not that I was noticing or anything - but, another suit. That kind of caught my eye because I notice people who dress nicely. About a month later, we had a special engagement with Donald Lawrence and I was asked to capture names of the participants. I still didn't know some of the new members, so they had to give me their names. I saw Vince standing there waiting and I told him I already had him on the list. He continued to stand there. I said...I have you - Vincent. He was the only new bass, so it was easy - not that I was noticing him or anything. As time went on, I began to see what a true gentleman he was - opening doors, carrying bags, boxes, etc. I remember a time in particular where we were leaving at the same time and I reached for the door. He moved ahead of me and said - "you shall not touch doors in my presence" - ok, now I'm noticing. I thought - Is this guy for real? Even if that's a line - it's a good one. As more time went on, he proved that he was just genuinely a good southern born man who doesn't have a problem keeping chivalry alive. After months of flirtation, we finally went out to dinner on June 20, 2009 and we've been falling harder and deeper every day since. | HER STORY
