1: Journal Entry 1 | Finally! Jones is gone! It feels great to be free from imprisonment. He pushed us around, forgot to feed us, and stole all of our produce. Seriously, who wants to work for someone else? He never thanked us for what we did for him and never made sure we were warm. He truly never cared. I'm so happy to be free. I can now run across the land that I call home without worrying about being yelled at by my owner. Just listen to that word. I should not have even had an owner. I am not a piece of property. I will no longer have to worry about being measured up to other animals because all animals are now equal! Rejoice and live in the new world of Animalism! I will follow the Seven Commandments and life will be great!
2: Journal Entry 2 | Lately, Snowball has been running the place like he owns it or something. As I expressed earlier, I am NOT a piece of property and in no way do I enjoy being told what to do. Anyways, Animal Farm so far has had its perks. Due to my recent insomnia, I've been very tired lately and unable to sleep. It's very nice that the animals share and I am able to eat milk and apples produced here on Animal Farm! So far, everyone is doing just great! All the animals are very hard at work. If they weren't, who knows, maybe Jones would come back again. He tried to pull a fast one the other day during the Battle of Cowshed, but the animals won. Well, of course we did! After that, we had an award ceremony and Boxer and Snowball were awarded. Was that really necessary? Oh, whatever, I don't really care about those silly ribbons.
3: Journal Entry 3 | A very intense debate was in action over the choice of land and where to go next. Snowball had an idea of a windmill, which was truly Napoleon's idea, and wants to build one to supply electricity. Clearly, Napoleon is right. All he wanted was to hold off on the windmill, and focus on food production before we get to wrapped up in work. After ridiculous comments from Snowball, Napoleon was clearly winning, Snowball bolted off the farm and left us behind. Us animals are so thankful for Napoleon to guide and lead us after Snowball has left us. Napoleon's new ways have helped us incredibly! We are now moving along in the windmill production. It is truly coming along! Thank you Napoleon!
4: Journal Entry 4 | Life so far is marvelous. Life without Jones is a true blessing and a true miracle is the fact that Napoleon is here to lead us. Without him, I would still have awful insomnia on those crazy pieces of hay, but now I can use alcohol in moderation to help make me tired and peacefully sleep in a bed. Life is marvelous, truly marvelous. I am a supervisor and I help supervise work. This way I can guide animals in what do to. I have terrible new. Dear Boxer has passed away. It is a true tragedy. He was so strong in the end. He was a true fan of Napoleon. He told me himself on his death bed. Bless his soul. Now, us and the humans are getting along terrificly. We love to play cards and pass time. We are truly more alike than we realized. In the future, we will continue to work together and work on our new future of Manor Farm. We are now more like friends and I'm glad we get along. Who wants an enemy? To the future we go! Long live Manor Farm!
