A WALK TO THE BEACH By Angela Anderson
One Sunday afternoon in early May, my family and I decided to take a stroll down to the beach for some fish and chips. The weather was glorious, the sun was shining the temperature was warm and the water was beautiful
As we were walking down the beach trying to find a place to eat our fish and chips, we were joined by two rather noisy sea gulls wanting our food. We all thought this was really funny and decided to join them and have our dinner there.
While we were sitting on the sand, sharing our chips with the sea gulls, we noticed that a really shy and timid dingo came along to inspect what was going on around his home. The dingo was very reluctant and decided to stay in the trees to make sure we did not get to close to his cubs.
We were really enjoying our trip to the beach that afternoon. We had talked to some sea gulls, were watched by a dingo and now to our surprise a boat was pulling to shore for the afternoon. My father decided it would be a good idea to have a chat with the sailor,, but we all knew he just wanted to look at the boat.
But luckily for me, while my dad was talking to the sailor and looking at the boat. I noticed a kangaroo bounce along the path ignoring us all. But soon it was starting to get dark, and we were all starting to get tired, so mum thought it would be a good idea to go home to bed. It was the best afternoon I loved my time with the family.
