2: We are | Dr. Kenneth Clark and Dr. Keith Wertham both made testimonies. | Dr. Kenneth Clark had a testimony regarding his doll study. | Dr. Keith Wertham was brought to testify regarding his interviews with blacks and white from the schools.

3: Testimonies | Black Students were excluded from a white school. The black parents had to sit in the mornings and watch whites take the school bus to the local school. The faculty members were not as educated.

4: The Doll Study

5: This study showed that children chose the white (Barbie) doll over the African-American doll because the African-American doll was perceived as bad where as the white doll was perceived as good.

8: Had to watch the "white" school bus each morning while she had to drive her daughter two miles everyday. | Pretty Little School on the Hill | Fought to help the African-Americans of her county to get to attend the all white school.

9: Sarah Bulah and Ethel Belton | One room school house Sarah had to take her kid to every morning.

11: Segregated Schools

12: The twelve juror's responsible for Tom's verdict were all white men.

13: Tom Robinson, an African-American, is falsely accused of raping Mayella Ewell, a white girl.

14: To KIill a Mockingbird and the Belton vs. Gebhart case are similar in many ways. First they both have the major idea of segregation. The Belton vs. Gebhart case parents were fighting for what was right for their kids. In the book, To Kill a Mockingbird, Atticus is fighting for Tom Robinson rights to be a free man which he knows will not happen because Tom Robinson is an African-American. What needs to be learned from each is to stand up for what i right and for what you believe in.
