S: Confessions Of A Serial Kisser Draanen Alfred A. Knopf
BC: The message from this story is to be proud of who people are, and don't change for anything. In the beginning, Evangeline gave herself a makeover that didn't fit her, just so she could get guys. Then, she stopped focusing on her school work and payed more attention to kissing. Finally, Evangeline changed her thoughts so many times that she didn't know what to do anymore or who she was. This theme relates to my life because in school everyone tries to get the new "in" clothes, and changes their personality to be with the "populars". This is a life-long message that will help everyone in the future.
FC: Confessions Of A Serial Kisser | Wendelin Van Draanen | Project by Ashley Debus
1: "Confessions of a Serial Kisser" is a fun, girly book written by Wendelin Van Draanen. This story took place in Larkmont High School. First, while Evangeline, a 16 year old, was cleaning under her mother's bed, she found a book called "A Crimson Kiss". She decided to read it, which began her search for her own "crimson kiss"! Then, Evangeline experimented with guys she thought could work, but all of them were just wrong for her. Her kissing got out of hand and she didn't think of all the drama she could create. Evangeline Bianca Logan, without thinking, kissed the guy of her best friend's dreams. She then believes that it was just a fantasy, and that one special kiss doesn't exist. Her best friend, Adrienne, found out and was shocked and angry. Evangeline tried everything to apologize, even though she ruined their friendship, but nothing worked, until they couldn't be enemies any longer because they Adrienne had her "crimson kiss" with the guy she liked, and Evangeline saw. After that, they made up, Evangeline apologized to the guys she kissed, and changed her ways back to how she was before the whole kissing problem started.
3: Evangeline is the main character in "Confessions of a Serial Kisser". She was very selfish. First, she shows this when her parents are trying to work things out after their divorce, and Evangeline doesn't think about her parents' feelings when she refuses to forgive her dad. Then, she kisses random guys, and doesn't care if they have feelings for someone already or if they were offended in any way. Also, she hurt other guys because she kissed a lot of guys, but not them, and it made them feel like no one cared for them. Those are just a few major reasons.
