FC: "Happiness is not something that is ready made. It comes from your own actions" --Dalai Lama | Good Times with Jamey
Life brings simple pleasures to us every day. It is up to us to make them wonderful memories. CathyAllen | Jamey and the girls always have a summer goal and last summer, they decided they were going to run a race. Patsy, Taylor, and I picked up Starbucks and met them at the corner. Taylor was so excited to see them that she started running. What a great accomplishment for Jaime and Olivia.
I am terrified of mountain roads, but it was important that I suck it up to cheer my man on. The ride up the peak was brutal, so I can only imagine the trek up via a pair of sneakers. Jamey was cold and extremely tired when he finished, but Taylor and I were so proud, we cheered like we had no sense. Not too certain if he heard us, but we cheered regardless. How amazing! I like that Jamey just sets his mind to something and does it, with or without water. I do believe the guy in the photo is Curtis from his work. Although Jamey was exhausted, the donuts and drink helped to raise his spirits a bit. It took him awhile to recover from being cold, even after a few bowls of his favorite soup.
Couldn't think of a better way to spend a Fall day...
Trip to May Farm so that we could grab pumpkins and a slice of pie. No pie but a great time. Jamey directed Taylor in her first film debut, "Child in the Corn Maze". It was a griping tale of a young girl running through a corn maze; a true original.
All things grow better with love.
Aunt Charlene and the girls headed to the Santa Barbara Zoo
 Three peas in a pod.
T | Taylor and Jamey enjoy the detour path | Vail in March
We decided to turn Tristen's wedding into a weekend getaway. Jamey and I had a blast at the wedding. The weather was horrible for skiing so he didn't get to hit the slopes. We enjoyed some really good meals, but were all gun ho to get home and relax...and Maya had car problems. We ended up killing six hours of time. I knew I loved Jamey, but after his patience with the whole ordeal, I was in awe. Seriously, I couldn't have asked for a better man to get stranded with for hours on end. | The two hour ride back in the tow truck was quite relaxing
"And in the end, it is not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years" --Abraham Lincoln Jamey's on the road to aging well
Santa Barbara Trip #1: Hands down, Jamey's my favorite person to kick back and be with. I just enjoy being in his space; it's easy and calming.
Jamey had to work so the gals headed to the museum. We had a great time and the girls were very attentive scientists. One of my favorite memories of Summer 2011.
Beautiful and Smart... what a lethal combination
All of the kids still talk about this trip. It was a good time and the campsite was right up my alley.
 Camping with the Kiddos
Josh and Jamey had to deal with all the female energy. Jamey was very good at advising Josh on what "Men" do when they are camping. The kids fished, swam in the pool, watched me get my behind kicked by some kid in teether ball, made new friends, and enjoy the company of one another. This is where I first learned that you can not put a bag of chips in front of Olivia; she'll eat the whole bag. I remember this is where I first realized how attractive Jamey is when he's truly relaxed, eating jerky by a campfire.
 I WWh
Memory is a way to hold on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose
I truly wish I would have taken more photos of all the fantastic adventures we shared over a year and a half. It is so easy to remember the times that aren't picture perfect., so I wanted you to have a snapshot of a few good times. When I think back on all the life experiences I've shared with you, I look like the doofus above: gleeful and happy. Love you today and always, Lori
