S: Dear Lois...

FC: A one sided view of a life-long friendship

From the beginning, we've been friends. So how can I now sum up our friendship so far into simply pictures and words? I guess its not what I say, but what you hear. And see. And remember. :) Hopefully these pictures and words will remind you of all the good times past and make you hopeful for those yet to come. May God bless you as you strive to serve Him and may you always look to Him for all your needs, because He will provide. | But I prize the friendship highest Of the one whose heart is true, Friends who live by truth and goodness And who live in Him anew. Friends whose hearts are up in heaven Though their feet traverse this sod, Find a place of highest merit In our fellowship with God. 2nd verse of Christian Friendship No. 91 in the Hymns of Zion

Yep, that's us! Can you believe we were ever that small? You're on the left, I'm on the right and Matthew J is in the center. This is the picture of the beginning of our friendship. :) Do you think your brothers were trying to pick on us by putting that puppy by us? Obviously we weren't trouble yet. :) | The Beginning

Preschool Graduation | Laura & Anna | Me | You | Jill | Hannah | I don't remember much about life before preschool, but I do remember that I wasn't assigned to sit at your table in preschool and that annoyed me. :)

Me Susan You | Kindergarten | Do you remember those cupcakes in ice cream cones and drawing on that long paper? And the thought of inviting a BOY (Trenton) to my house?!? He played with Caleb. :) I don't know where Julie was. Mom thinks she was sick or something.

 More

 Kindergarten | Julie | Me | Trenton | Peter | Austin | Philip | Paul | You | Susan | Sarah | Rebecca | Josie | Jill | Dorrice

FIRST | GRADE | Philip | me | You | Heritage Christmas program of our first grade year...back when we put on plays for Christmas programs. If I remember right, You, Philip and I were the 3 "wise men." Aren't our costumes lovely? Of course, I would be talking during the program. :)

GRADE | Grade 2 | As I remember it, Jon Zollinger took this picture. We were in Mr. Wiegand's class. The "Wow" list was in practice and 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades were together in one class. That year that our play was about the orphanage...don't remember what it was called.

In celebration of my eighth year of living, I had a tea party (without real tea). We decorated hats, that we later wore to hat day. | E | I | G | H | T

Third Grade | Ms. Stiedl was our teacher. I don't know how you felt, but I always thought that she was a very good teacher. We did a lot of fun things, like days that we worked on our own and once we were done with our homework for the day, we could have recess for the rest of the day. During noon recess, we used to play washer and dryer over those bars in the frame of the swing set. :)

Sister's Day! :) | I got a film camera for my birthday, so we made use of it. :) We were going to make a scrapbook with all the pictures we took (which was quite a lot), but it hasn't happened until now. :)

 PACKSHIP | LIFESKILLS | Making chocolates for the Christmas Program.. Lifeskills was one of my favorite Friday activities. | Egg Drop! :) I think our class ended up going to packship 3 times (or something equally ridiculous) during our fieldtrip career. | S | I | X | T | H | G | R | A | D | E

Seventh Grade. Our field trip staple was GORP (Good Old Raisans and Peanuts). I don't really remember anything we learned in school that year, but our whole class learned alot about relationships. :) | Dorrice | You | Me | Susan | Sarah

Susan | Me | Susan | Me | The year we were in grade 8, was intense. :) We [put together Our Heritage books, made lap harps and cases and played them at Grandparents Day. Also, our class went to Nelson's Ledges...a favorite long field trip (CiCi's afterwards)...had hat day, organized a class government for a day or two, graduated into high school, and traveled to Washington D. C.

More OUR HERITAGE pictures.. I don't remember what the deal was with the police car. I do remember, though, that Matt was so scared of being shot at the old Akron church....I told him that he didn't have anything to worry about-we were in front of him! :)

Sunglasses!!! :) It has become a field trip tradition. This was after our Nelson's Ledges field trip...I think we dropped you off upon meeting your parents on the were going somewhere, like Connecticut. :) | Hat Day! I think this was Mr. Kellenberger instituted. :)

Swimming! Just what we'd been waiting for :) Julie has a bloody nose. | Washington D. C.

I think we were all tired of pictures by the time all of them were over. Julie got another bloody nose, so in the top right picture, we are all "relaxing" while she got her nose fixed up.

I think we were all excited to graduate into high school. Most of us girls got a new outfit and somehow, it was a big deal for the guys to wear ties. We all thought we were so big and old. Isn't it funny how perspective changes? :) | Eighth Grade

 Graduation

GRADE | On the way to harvest day at Tim and Sharon's. If you look close, I think our braces are the same color. Remember when we used to coordinate our braces colors? :) | I don't know about you, but our ninth grade year was probably my favorite. Miss Luginbuhl was our teacher, and sadly, she announced that she was moving to Morris at the end of the school year. You, me and Julie used to sit in the study rooms and pretty much memorize our history and science study sheets, thus we were always ready for review days and never felt like we were the ones being talked to about not studying. :) You and I also sat in the library and would talk while we were typing. On our long field trip to Hocking Hills, we got soaked under waterfalls and climbed around on rocks. While we were chasing down a Pizza Hut, the boys ate all the Doritos. :)

Hocking Hills 2009 | Miss Luginbul said no more getting wet, and then it rained. :)

sophomore year | gym class pyramid! | One of the many failed attempts :) | The Baldheads | Harvest Day at Nate & Linda Schar's

Our tenth grade year was probably the most memorable...maybe because it is the most recent in the memories of my Hertitage years. I think everyone was trying to make the most out of our last year at Heritage together. Mr. A Steiner took us on MANY fields trips, we performed countless role plays, and we teased Trenton mercilessly in Spanish II class. Even though it may have seemed like we never listened to Senora McLamb, we learned a lot. Our class sessions were full of hands-on learning activities, like disections, thanks to Mr. Steiner's efforts.Potlucks were a frequent occurance, and we loved to plan them just as much as we liked eating the food. Tenth grade was finally the year that we were all friends and there was not so much cliquiness. Despite some shaky spots, our sophomore year was one of the best. :)

the reformatory...kinda freaky :) | John Hopkins Airport... | ...where we sped down the runway in this bus and an airplane "almost" ran us over. How "almost" is disputed :)

hale farm and village | the field trip where we actually worked! :) | the gardener | pulling weeds | sunglasses :)

the cleveland zoo | we got a tour behind the scenes and also in front of the glass. as we got ready to leave, some of us ran down the steps in the rain forrest...and most likely made quite a scene.

Coldstone Creamery | remember that heart shaped dent in your chair? :) | the reach... | the bite | Is it good? | Yes it is :) | During 11th grade, we didn't spend much time together, due to the fact that I was a workaholic and a study freak. Plus we went to two different schools and didn't do the same things on weekends. One thing we did make time for, though was Coldstone. We went on a snowy night during Christmas break and your dad kept calling to make sure that you were safe and weren't going to come home too late :) I had to take a lot of pictures to make sure I got one that was good of both of us, and even then, I'm not sure I got a decent one. :)

For a Christmas present, Ethan hosted an evening for his eleventh graders and and their classmates who used to attend Heratige. Julie, Susan, Hannah, you and I were the only ones who could make it. The night was very snowy and the roads were pretty bad, but the conversation and house tour kept us from being cold. We also had ice cream sundaes. Of course Ethan had conversaion starters (more like questions we had to answer) all ready. While Ethan and Lisa were getting the ice cream sundaes around we fooled around with our phones and cameras. :)

After my first widow's supper, since starting my repentance, you invited me over for a walk. Following the walk, we went inside and talked to Joanna. Not having many pictures of us together, I asked Joanna to take a picture of us. Unfortunately, she didn't know how to use my camera. I thought it was funny, but by the end you were getting annoyed, as evidenced in that last picture in the film strip :)

 Heritage Class of 2011

The sunset was beautiful for pictures. And there were a lot of pictures! My cheeks were sore by the end. | the girls | The 3 Musketeers aka-triple trouble :) | Kindergarten class

Well, here we are at our next beginning. I'm sure there will be many more chapters in our lives, and I'm quite positive that if we keep our sights set on Christ, the next chapters of our lives will be just as happy and meaningful as the past years have been. I love you! -Anna | Graduation 2011

 So, what do you remember? (this is the part where you record your memories) | {pink, just for you :)}
