FC: If You Give a Wolf Some Watermelon by the First Graders of Solomon Schechter Day School
The first grade would like to thank Laura Joffe Numeroff for inspiring us to write this book. Ms. Numeroff is the author of wonderful circle stories such as If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and If You Give a Moose a Muffin.
If you give a wolf some watermelon, he will make a mess!
 he will make a mess.
He will ignore the mess and want to have
 more watermelon!
He'll get tired of eating so much watermelon, and he'll want
 to take a nap.
He'll want a pillow to lie down on.
So he'll fluff up the pillow, and feathers will come out and
 go all over the place.
The feathers will make him think about birds.
So he'll go outside to look for a bird to make friends with.
When he goes outside he'll see the playhouse, and he'll climb up,
so he can slide down the slide.
When he's going down the slide he'll see the house, and he'll want to go back inside and play with toys.
While he's playing, he finds a toy robot.
When he sees the toy robot's smile, it makes him think of
 a watermelon slice.
 He's going to want
 MORE | watermelon!
