 Period 2 Mythology 2011-2012 Copyright 2012

In the beginning, there was nothing. Nothing, but quiet in the small area in Wisconsin, completely made up of piles and piles of coal and dirt from the mountains and quarries.

For each others sake, they have their own secrets. They have secrets of their own personal powers, whether realistically powerfully and life-changing, or personal strengths and weaknesses. Over a period of time, they start to annoy each other more and more by the day. This leads to an event that changes not only their family but the world forever. After everyone was finally completely fed up with each other, the small family, made up of an unhappy couple, Sun and Moon, and their two completely different children, Katastrophe and Pastrania. Pastrania seemed to like to do things her own way and discovered her own strength, which was strength itself.

Because she was so fed up with her family, Pastrania decided to take action. Pastrania and Katastrophe were having an intense argument about their differences when suddenly, Pastrania built up so much anger and frustration in her temper that she hit Katastrophe, throwing her completely off the side of the mountain, thousands of feet to the ground. | The force from the fall caused a great earthquake and formed several canyons and landmarks. Her body then sank into the ground, providing her blood flow as a great flood throughout the valley and tears from the pain serve as the rain, pouring down. This great amount of water eventually came to a halt when Katastrophe finally passed. Because of all the rain and rushing water, the oceans were formed and large, leftover puddles were the great lakes of the north. Pastrania finally felt relieved, and so she moved on to a different area to forget her past.

Meanwhile, Sun and Moon are constantly arguing about how they cannot be present at the same place at the same time. This argument led to their split, giving the world the times of day and night. Because of the split, they paid no attention to where their children were or what they were doing; meaning Pastrania and Katastrophe were now on their own. Along her journey, Pastrania saw an extremely oversized boxer puppy on a trail that had been abused by a giant in the cave around the corner. Feeling horrible, Pastrania cut the rope around the dog’s neck to free him, and she automatically fell in love with her new sidekick.

While Pastrania was reading her new pet’s name tag, the giant around the corner sniffed out Pastrania and came sneaking around the corner. After Pastrania found out the dog’s name, McLovin, she looked up to see the giant. Realizing she had no choice but to fight back, she grabbed the chain she had removed from the dog and tied it into a lasso. Dodging the giant’s strong, but slow fist, she threw the lasso into the air, completely missing the giant. After pulling the rope down as quick as possible, the giant had just nipped her arm, throwing her to the side. Out of fear and anger, Pastrania quickly got up and threw the lasso, perfectly landing around the head of the giant. With great strength from her temper, Pastrania pulled the giant down with such force that he had instantly died once he hit the ground.

Out of happiness, Pastrania and her new companion, McLovin, left him behind, to serve as the Appalachian Mountains. Finally, at the end of their journey, they have made all the discoveries they could possibly find, so they settled in a place now known as Louisiana. After everything they found happiness and Pastrania got to see her parents’ everyday out in the sky. Although she didn't see her father as much, she knew he was watching over her and she also knew what she did to her sister was wrong, but Pastrania knew it only helped the world in a more positive way.
