FC: Perseus's Great Adventure | By Lauren Pitz and Maddie Luros

1: King Acrisius | The Powerful King | Once upon a time there was a powerful King named Acrisius. Although he had a beautiful daughter named Donae he greatly desired a son.

2: King Acrisius went to the god Delphi to ask if he would ever have a son. Delphi tells the king that someday he would have a grandson who is be destined to kill him.

3: King Acrisius was terrified of losing his life. Because of the prophecy the powerful king locked his beautiful daughter in a house of bronze beneath the earth, so she could never have children.

5: Donae knew that her father would kill Perseus if he ever knew he was born. She took extra caution to make sure her son was never seen by the king. | While Donae was trapped in her prison of bronze she was very lonely. One day the god Zeus came to visit her. Together Zeus and Donae had a son. They named him Perseus.

6: When King Acrisius learned that he had a grandson he was terrified. He locked Donae and Perseus in a boat a sent them out to sea.

7: The boat washed ashore on a small island and a fisherman named Dictys rescued them.

8: Dictys's brother, Polydectes, was the cruel ruler of the island. As Perseus grew up, Polydectes fell in love with Donae. He wanted to think of a way to get rid of Perseus.

9: To get rid of Perseus Polydectes sends him on an impossible quest for Medusa's head.

11: When Perseus set out on his quest he soon encountered the god Hermes. He tells Perseus that he will need special tools to defeat Medusa. Hermes guides Perseus to the land of the gray women. The gray women are forced to tell him how to reach the nymphs of the north.

12: When Perseus finally reaches the nymphs of the north they give him magical gifts. Perseus receives winged sandals, a magical wallet and an invisibility cap to help him on his quest.

13: Hermes and Athena also give Perseus incredible gifts. The gods give the hero a magical sword and a bronze shield.

14: O | After receiving his gifts, Hermes and Athena guide Perseus to Medusa's lair.

15: Luckily, Medusa was asleep when Perseus arrived. He was easily able to chop off her head with his new sword.

16: On the way back to the Island Perseus finds a beautiful women who is in distress.

17: The women's name is Andromeda, and Perseus saves her life. Perseus and Andromeda fall in love, and they return to the island together.

19: Perseus was mad at Polydectes for scaring his mother. He was so angry that he used Medusa's head to turn the king to stone. | When Perseus returns to the island he can not find his mother. She was scared into hiding because Polydectes was angry.

20: Perseus, Andromeda, and Donae planned to return to their home island to mend their relationship with the king.

21: The group soon learned that the king had recently died. So, Perseus, Andromeda and Donae decided to stay on the island. They lived happily ever after.
