1: Anthem is a novel based off of a few themes that tie in with each other. The main theme is self-ego. The themes of deciding your own fate, discovery, independence, freedom, love and rebelling tie into the theme of self-ego.
3: Equality 7-2521 and the Golden One fall in love with eachother. Falling in love is against all laws in their Collectivist Society that they live in.
4: Unlocking discovery, independence and freedom by rebelling & one's own Fate.
5: The main character Equality 7-2521 discovers "light" in a box left from the Unmentionable Times in which he goes to turn in to the Scholars in hope of changing his fate of being a street sweeper. All goes wrong and he runs from the society which is the beginning of his rebellious acts to determine his own fate. The Golden one finds him in the Uncharted Forest and they gain their independence and freedom by running away further into the forest.
6: Self-Ego | I love you Gaea.
7: At the end of the novel, Equality 7-2521 and the Golden One decide to spend the rest of their lives together. They live in a house that is left over from the Unmentionable Times. At the beginning of the novel, everyone is to address themselves and eachother as one, so they use the term "we". At the end of the novel The Golden One and Equality 7-2521 abolish the use of the word "we" and develop the use of the term "I". They also determine their own names and not the names they were assigned. Gaea is the name he picks for her and his name is Prometheus which are the names of a God and Goddess.
