S: After I Do 2011
BC: Thank You!
FC: Thank You, | Wrights!
Phil & Vicky, You have been a huge inspiration to me and Elizabeth. We've met very few people that are more kind, sacrificial and loving. Since moving into your home for two months — our first experience in Houston — to being under your leadership in Bible study each week and serving alongside you in ministry, we've grown exponentially in our faith and our marriage. You modeled a successful marriage every day we spent with you. We watched and learned how to pray with each other more, treat each other with love and respect and interact with each other the way Christ intended. We appreciate all you have done and will do for future couples. God is using you in massive ways for His Kingdom. We love you both and will never forget how kind you've been to us and the entire After I Do class. We are better for knowing you. Thank you. Matt & Elizabeth Arnold
 Love, Jonathan and Shannon Badger
Dear Phil & Vicky, Josh and I can't thank you enough for all that you have done for our class and us as a couple. It is honestly hard to put into words what you both mean to us. You have set such an incredible example of what a godly marriage is and you have faithfully showed us that each week. I can still remember the first Sunday in 2008 when Josh and I visited 'Newlywed or Close' and it was so obvious that we had found exactly where God wanted us to be. The lessons that you have taught us are something that we will remember for a lifetime and continue to practice in our marriage. Thank you both for all that you do and the example that you have set! We love you! Josh & Laci Boston
Davis and I were very blessed to find a home church and a Life Bible Study class right after we got married. We both felt it was very important to seek guidance from God and surround ourselves with God serving people. After I Do has provided just that. With the help of your guidance young married couples are able to dedicate serving God all areas of their marriage and families. Thank you for welcoming us with open arms. We look forward to experiencing many more memories with you. Love, Davis & Sarah Bradford
Phil and Vicky, Thank you for being transparent examples of how to fight for your marriage. We hope you know how much we love you and how much we value your encouraging words and faithful prayers. Love, Eric and Rachel Bridgett
Thank you for your dedication to serving our class through teaching and helping us grow in our marriages. Your transparency and vulnerability have been monumental in helping us apply God’s truth to our lives and building true community within the class. It has been an honor to walk and pray through seasons of transition and struggles with you. Ultimately your servant hearts point us and all those around you to Jesus. What living witnesses you are! You are building God’s kingdom one marriage at a time and helping ensure eternal life for the next generation (Caleb and baby girl Brown to be specific). Thank you for sharing your testimonies with us as God writes them. With Love and Gratitude, Jennifer & Joshua Brown
We are so grateful to get to be part of a class under your leadership. What a blessing it has been for us to be a part of this class since the beginning of our marriage to be encouraged weekly through your teaching to have Christ as the foundation of our marriage (and of course, everything). We appreciate your vulnerability and that you continually share with honesty about what God is doing and has done in your marriage. Thank you for all the time you spend digging into the Word to prepare lessons for us. Thank you for your bruised, scratched up knees as you have prayed on our behalf and the behalf of our friends and family. Thank you for making this ministry a priority in the midst of your crazy, busy lives. In I Corinthians 11:1, Paul instructs the church at Corinth: “Imitate me, as I also imitate Christ.” This verse captures how we feel when we see you two, we see your passion for the Lord and his purposes and your love for each other, and we desire to imitate you as you imitate Christ. Words really are not enough but thank you. Christopher & Christi Carter
Love, Jonathon and Lydia Hance | Dear Wrights, we want to thank you so much for your example of a vibrant, healthy, Christ-centered marriage. We've learned so much from you about your commitment to teach us weekly, and what a sacrifice that is. We find ourselves returning to lessons you've taught as we journey together forward in our fifth year of marriage. Some of the lessons that come to us are: learning to be students of each other; the importance of weekly dates and departing our home and routine to find time together to connect; how to listen in communication; what it means to build each other up (and how it looks different for each of us); the power of the "do-over"; modeling successful spouses while successful in your careers; and understanding our own personalities better to love each other better. We are stronger because of you.
Dear Wrights, we can't thank you enough for the time and love you pour into our class and specifically into us. We are blessed to know you and to learn from you. Thank you for spending time with us one on one and two on two to work through medical challenges and career options. Thank you for your prayers and words of wisdom. We look up to you for the way you have chosen to live your lives for God which is apparent in your lifestyle, teaching, stories, and time spent in prayer. Love, Dan and Kristin Hilgart
Dear Phil and Vicki, We have been so blessed by your dedication to our class. We have been so lucky to have you apart of our first stage of marriage. The useful and practical tools you have equipped us with as we have begun this journey are priceless. We are so grateful for you and how God has used special people like you to teach us the foundations of a Godly marriage. Love Liz and Bruce
Thank you for your devotion to the individuals of this class. We appreciate your prayers and your encouragement. We truly feel like we have found a family in After I Do, which is largely due to your leadership. Thank you for your devotion in preparing diligently for class. You both have such an excellent gift for teaching. We always leave class with our cups overflowing with new knowledge and great life application. You are such neat people and we are so glad that we get to grow with you and learn from you each week! We love you, JP and Megan Johnson | We want to thank you for your incredible influence on our lives. We realize that you sacrifice so much to commit to the class, and God has blessed the fruits of your labor. Since our involvement with After I Do, we have grown so much as individuals, but we have especially grown in our marriage. Thank you for your wonderful example of what a loving, Christian marriage looks like. You certainly give us an excellent model to emulate. It is so encouraging to see a couple that has walked through life together and is willing go share their secrets with us. Thank you for being so open and vulnerable in the way you share your lives with our class. While we certainly do not rejoice in your heartaches, it is touching that you are willing to share your struggles to help us learn and grow from your experiences.
Phil and Vicky, Thank you so much for your love and dedication to After I Do! We have seen the Lord use your personal testimonies to encourage the members of our class. We are so grateful for your vulnerability, wisdom, teaching and prayers! We truly thank the Lord for you both and hope that you know that the Lord does use you to make a difference in the lives of others. It is obvious that you model your lives after Christ. Love, Jonathan and Sarah Lay
Dear Wrights, Thank you so much for your commitment to teaching the After I Do class. More than teaching us with words on Sundays, you both model a godly marriage. We appreciate your commitment to our generation by pouring biblical truths and wisdom from your own personal experiences into our lives. You have been a mentor for us both in so many ways, most notably as we worked through the loss of Zach’s dad. We thank you for your constant efforts to make us all better husbands and wives, better Christians and better people. Thank you both! We love you! Love, Sarah & Zach Lernor
Dear Phil and Vicky - our family loves you and is so grateful for your investment in us. Your example of a God honoring marriage inspires us and we cherish His message through you in our weekly Life Bible Study. Our family has been eternally changed through you. Beau and Erica McBeth
Phil & Vicki, we just wanted to take time to thank you for what an immense blessing you have been in our lives. We have learned so much from your walk with the Lord and can truly say that our marriage is as strong as it is because of the things you've taught us. Thank you for always being willing to tackle difficult subjects and always approaching it with love. Intimacy night particularly ministered to us greatly. It was wonderful to be able to look at the gift God gave us of intimacy with our spouse and for it not to be dirty or something to be ashamed of. Thank you for opening your homes to us for that. | Phil, you're vulnerability and transparency has not only challenged our viewpoint of what a man of the Lord looks like, but has also inspired us to chase after the Lord like you do. Vicki, you have such a passion for the Lord that it's hard not to light on fire just being near you. Thank you for being so accessible to us and so willing to live life with us. Our lives are always one of two things, stumbling blocks that hinder people from the Lord's will, or stepping stones that lift people up out of the mud and point them towards the Lord. Thank you that your "point" has always been to our Lord. We love you both deeply. May the Lord continue to bless you both! Paul & Kelli Meyer
Phil and Vicky, We have never known a couple to be so in love; with each other and with Christ. You both have been such an inspiration to Calan and myself since the day we first met you in the Newlywed or Close class. Thank you so much for making yourselves available when we needed you the most in our marriage. Thank you, for not only teaching us what marriage and a relationship with Christ should look like, but by actually living it out for us to see. You two will be greatly rewarded in Heaven because of your obedience to guide us with the love of Christ. We love you both! Calan and Tracy Morgan
Phil and Vicky, Thank you so much for the investment you have made in our lives. We are so blessed by you and your love for us, and our family. Your life, your marriage and your testimony are an inspiration and encouragement to us. We admire your love for the Lord and your love for each other. Thank you for the hours and hours of time and prayer that you have spent on our behalf preparing lessons and being available to be used by the Lord. Our marriage and our lives are not the same (to God be the glory) because of what you have poured into us. There are so many lessons and scriptures we go back to that you have shared with us the past 4+ years. We are forever grateful. You have been a part of the foundation we are setting. Thank you! And, thank you for always opening your home to us, whether it was just the 4 of us for dinner, a Christmas party, brunch, intimacy night, etc. We always felt so welcome and loved in your home. We have so many memories and conversations that are dear to our heart and have forever impacted us. Your generosity and kindness are unmatched. We will never forget the date we had in SLC at La Caille. What a blessing and such a remarkable memory! Thank you! We love you deeply and are grateful for the time we have had to serve alongside you. Michael and Laura Simpson
Phil and Vicki, Thank you so much for your service to our class and your ministry to us as a couple over the last four years. We definitely hold you as mentors and role models for our marriage and for our own personal walks with the Lord. Thank you for being transparent, for giving your much sought after time and for loving and praying for us constantly. Your service through the Newlywed class and After I Do has made a marked difference in our marriage and our knowledge and understanding of the Lord. We wish you every blessing for your life and your future! Love, Sean and Laura Townsend | I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your love for all his holy people and your faith in the Lord Jesus. I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ. Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people. Philemon 1:4-7
