1: KENYA | 29 DEC 2013 | Days One & Two - December 29 & 30 We flew from Chicago to Amsterdam then Amsterdam to Nairobi - about 16 hours total on airplanes.

2: Day Three - December 31st Our first full day in Kenya was spent bumping around on a 5-6 hour drive to Manyatta Camp.

4: Day Three - December 31st We had "Part One" of our safari - an evening drive through the Maasai Mara reserve.

6: "The lions may grow weak & hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing." Psalm 34:10

7: Day Four - January 1st We woke up for "Part Two" of our safari - an early morning drive through Maasai Mara. We came back for breakfast and went to the Maasai Village for a tour.

9: Day Four . . . con't After an early morning safari we visited a nearby Masai Village. We were welcomed with a traditional dance, visited homes and were assaulted by some very aggressive villagers wanting to make a living! | Maasai Mara

10: Day Five - January 2 We traveled to Murang'a from our Nairobi Hotel after stopping at a very nice mall to exchange money. We made a quick early evening visit to a Kikuyu historical site then retired for the night at Hotel Nokras.

12: Day Six - January 3 Barrett & Tim checked out the water situation in Gitaro and in the afternoon we met with members of the community.

14: Day Seven - January 4th Saturday was the day we commissioned Gitaro Well, "Ava's Well." We had a quick meal at JJ's grandmother's followed by the celebration.

17: Day Seven - January 4th After dances and speeches, the event came to an end with the official commissioning ceremony.

19: Day Eight - January 5 Today we visited the Muchungucha and Gitaro AIPCA churches. Several groups performed special music for us and we were able to introduce ourselves to them. Ava and Elise shared a song . . . and did a great job! | Sunday Worship | Sunday Worship

20: SCHOOL | Kiawambeu | VISITS

21: Day Nine - January 6 We visited with the head teachers of Kiawambeu and Gaitega Schools and participated in Prize Giving Day at Kiawambeu.

22: SCHOOL | Muchungucha | VISITS

23: Day Ten - January 7 We visited with teachers at Muchungucha Primary and Secondary Schools and participated in Prize Giving Day at the primary school.

24: SCHOOL | Deaf School | VISITS

25: Day Eleven - January 8 We presented mattresses to the deaf school students and had a great lunch with the staff - they had the best mangoes ever!

26: SCHOOL | Ndikwe | VISITS

27: Day Twelve - January 9 We participated in Prize Giving Day and Ndikwe School, where Jamleck (JJ) attended.

28: Day Thirteen - January 10 Some of us rested and others went to stand on the equator.

30: Day Fourteen - January 11 We had a picnic outside of Lake Nakuru where a baboon jumped inside our van to grab a soda!

32: Day Fifteen - January 11 Our final day was spent at church in Nakuru with a quick visit to JJ's inlaws and lunch at Evans' Country Club.
