S: Carnival Dream - November, 2010

BC: "No man needs a vacation so much as the person who has just had one." - Elbert Hubbard

FC: Carnival Dream - November, 2010 -

Our trip to Cozumel, Belize, Roatan and Costa Maya

Our first big trip without the kids (they hope our last!) Dawn and Rohn decided to join us, so we headed to Florida (popped in to see our friend at the pizza place whom we met before on previous trips) and caught up with Dawn and Rohn aboard the ship.

We did our own thing for dinner that night, then hit the piano bar, where we would quickly establish ourselves as "regulars" for the remainder of the trip.

Our second night on board was our first night at the dinner table. Our tablemates were all good friends on the trip together - we couldn't figure out the pronunciation of many of their names, so we passed around a napkin to jot them on and became instant friends...

 great times...

Our first stop was in Mexico... we had a lot of fun exploring and relaxing

Butts Up!! We went cave tubing in Belize, then slammed into a few trees, ziplining...tried some authentic cashew wine before leaving our mark at a local pub...

Dinner was never dull! The wine was flowing, dancers and magicians were aplenty, and there was always Margarita, making eyes at Rob...

"Tunder only happens when it's raining...Oh, women - dey may come and dey may go...." - (ohhh, the slaughtered mispronunciations...!) | Rob reveled in the flirtatiousness of the atrium's nightly singer...most people couldn't miss his dance for her in the glass elevator...

Dawn and I were a little baffled by the kitchen tongs alongside a garbage can, but who are we to question the ways of the sea? | Our nightly ritual - rendezvous to hear Tom sing! Lyrics were forever changed going forward to incorporate his name...the crowd favorite - "Sweet Caroline (Tom! Tom! Tom!!)" Mind-boggling, all the lyrics we changed to squeeze his name in...

Quite possibly the highlight of our trip was the random pit stop in Roatan at an open air bar/mini zoo right on the road. We saw a number of critters, but were particularly smitten with a monkey that took a special liking to Rob. Takes one to know one...!

 The sights of Roatan....

Hit a private beach for a massage and lovely (?) views...

Preparing for the end of our trip, we celebrated with Tom and the usual suspects (and by doing one-handed push-ups...??)

Our last day was a day at sea. We decided to try the adults-only deck...talk about paradise! The only sound was the wind whipping around us; the gorgeous blue water stretched out as far as the eye could see. What a way to unwind at the end of an awesome trip!
