1: Wednesday, May 2 | Today we went first to the Millenium Park. The park is in the center of Chicago. We saw the giant bean and the fountain which were very beautiful. I liked the atmosphere in the park. For lunch we went to Subway, which annoyed me, because my sandwich was spicy and I hate spicy stuff. Finally we went to the Art Institute, which I found very interesting. I liked especially the work of Archibald John Motley, Grant Wood and Edward Hopper. This was a very interesting day.
2: Thursday, May 3 | Today we went to China Town. This was an awesome experience. We went to different shops and to a Buddhist temple. Everywhere it smelt of incense. The Temple was interesting because we read something about the Buddhist religion. The Supreme Buddha is Siddhartha Gautama. Then we went for lunch in a strange restaurant. First the employees didn't speak English, so it was very difficult to order the food, then we waited a long time to get the food. It ended up that we didn't get the food which we ordered. In the afternoon we went to the Field Museum. I liked this Museum, especially the Nature Part. Unfortunately we couldn't see some exhibitions. So this was a funny day.
3: Friday, May 4 | Today we visited Wicker Park, West Town. It's a neighborhood originally populated by German, Scandinavian and Eastern European communities. I think it's one of the best things we did so far, because this neighborhood was just so cool: first we went to Myopic Books, which is a second-hand bookstore. It was amazing! I bought the book "Hunger Games". Then we were in Dr.Martens store! And finally we ate in a vegan restaurant. The food and the drinks were so delicious. I got a watermelon juice and a wrap with avocado and "chicken". When we finished we went to the baseball game. It was my first baseball game and I enjoyed it a lot. I was for the Cubs, and they won! What I liked the most about the game was the atmosphere and the people there. This was the best day I think.
