1: Fun times ahead!

2: Sun Yat-Sen Memorial - straight from plane to sightseeing in Guangzhou | "The World is for All"

9: So much fun! | Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshou

11: Guilin is so beautiful

12: Our beloved bamboo fisherman. Mom found an interesting story in the hanging fish... | The pinnacle-shaped mountains are breathtaking

14: Wandered around the vicinity of the art gallery and found a tiny music shop. we bought some handmade flutes. | Next Up: Elephant Trunk Hill

17: Elephant Trunk Hill is an amazing geological structure. We climbed to the top and enjoyed amazing views of Guilin.

18: Nighttime Bridge Light Cruise | Fun night out

19: The Cormorant is a large, easily recognizable waterbird. Its main skill is catching fish. underwater. The bird can't swallow the fish because a string is tied loosely around its neck.

20: Next stop: the Reed Flute Cave. Known as the Palace of Natural Arts because of its beautiful and mysterious cavernous underground stalactites and stalagmites.

21: An interesting stop...the neon lights were an unnecessary addition to the naturally beautiful geological masterpieces...wish we had more time to meander through the outdoor shops though.

30: Kunming is the capital of Yunnan Province and was the gateway to the South Silk Road. | Kunming is known as Spring City because of its great climate all year round

44: Welcome to Dali and the Three Pagodas of the Chonsheng Temple, located near the Cangshan mountains and Erhai Lake

49: Dali is a quaint city. We enjoyed our time immensely. It would be a great place to return to someday, and stroll through the streets and pathways without such tight time restraints.

62: Incredible journey up the mountain to see an isolated Tibetan temple

66: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Lijiang: The color of the rivers and pools was an absolutely amazing shade of turquoise - it almost looked fake. It was a fun-filled day of nature and exploration! We missed mom and dad, though, who stayed behind at the hotel. Next day: Shopping in Lijiang!

68: Goodbye Lijiang, Goodbye Tour! Hello Again Guangzhou! ...on our own this time | Fay

69: Guangzhou, Guangdong Province

70: Spent the first day with a private tour guide. We went to a famous temple and then spent the majority of the day shopping and having fun!

76: Shamian Island was an important port for Guangzhou's foreign trade from the Song to the Qing Dynasty.

77: More than a century ago the Mandarins of Guangzhou designated a 44-acre sandbank outside the city walls in the Pearl River as an enclave for foreign merchants.

78: On one of our free days Dax and I went on a walk - without a destination - and came across a scenic lake... who would have known? | Natalie, Steve, Dax, and I spent the day wandering downtown...then N&S treated us to a delicious buffet.

81: We had a chance to truly see the city and witness everyday life.

82: Getting ready to leave China

84: Goodbye China, until we meet again.... What a fabulous journey through the southern region of this ancient land. We have learned so much, we have grown for the better from this amazing experience. We shall always remember the geological beauty, the diverse culture, and the welcoming people.

85: I thank God for the blessing to travel the world with my family.
