BC: The End

FC: By: Nicholas Goodman, Nithin Hari, Frederick Wang, and Adarsh Melukote | Dragonwings

1: Chinese Immigration to the US | When the first Chinese immigrants traveled to the US, we welcomed them with open arms. After they came ( "they" referring to rich Chinese merchants and other people) we started treating the poorer immigrants badly. The Americans were not paying them well, and were beating them just for fun. Many Chinese were killed.

2: The Great San Francisco Earthquake | The Great San Francisco Earthquake was a time of unrest. It destroyed many buildings and caused a giant fire. The firefighters did not have enough water and only the rain stopped it. The death toll was between 700 and 3000 people. The final cost was between $400 million and $524 million.

3: Racism | The impact of racism was massive. People thought that the color of their skin made people lower or higher on the social scale. For example, people used to disrespect the rights of African Americans. In Dragonwings, people felt and treated T'ang people the same way. Today, some racism is gone, but there is still a lot of racism. Take Hitler for proof. He believed that the Germans were better than any other race. He killed many of the non-Germans. Racism is devastating, but we're working on it.
