BC: DEPARTED | AFRICA | 22 JUNE 2012
East Africa | AFRICA | ARRIVED 05 JUNE 2012 | Kenya, home of the Maasi Uganda, where the wild things are Rwanda, land of a thousand hills Africa, magic
East Africa, home to some of the biggest slums, highest rates of poverty, and lowest rates of education in the world, and yet here reside some of the most welcoming, happy people you could ever imagine..
 This is Africa (TIA)
MAASI MARA a continuation of the Serengeti, a 1,500 sq km grassland national reserve hosting over 95 different mammals and 570 types of birds.
THE MAASI Semi-nomadic graziers from Kenya & Tanzania, whom to this day still practice age-old customs & beliefs. I went to see the animals What I experienced was the culture What I fell in love with were the people You would never believe a group of people could have so little, yet smile so much
 East African Mission | Orphanage
MOUNTAIN GORILLAS Parc National des Volcans, Rwanda Less than 800 of these majestic creatures left in the wild and we got to meet 11 of them. Sitting in stinging nettle taller than us, just a short walk from where Dian Fossey lived, & 35 kms from the Congolese boarder, gorilla's have no natural enemies, except humans.
 It's a truck, not a bus!
 Farewell Africa... until next time....
