FC: Jenna's Semester Abroad in Florence, Italy | Fall 2012
FLORENCE | ITALY \ | ARRIVED AUG. 17, 2012 | is the capital city of the Italian region of Tuscany and of the province of Florence. It is the most populous city in Tuscany, with approximately 370,000 inhabitants. Florence is famous for its history and i considered the birthplace of the Renaissance.
After exploring Florence the first day, I knew I was in love with this city. My jaw dropped at the beauty of the Duomo and the intricacy of the Renaissance sculpture and architecture. The bridges, especially the Ponte Vecchio, overtop the glistening Arno River were stunning. My awe of this city was just beginning.
THE CITY OF FIRENZE Everywhere you go in this city there is amazing architecture with extraordinary history. From the town hall in Piazza Signoria to the Ponte Vecchio bridge across the Arno, I discovered something new every day.
 The Boboli Gardens
ROME, ITALY | is the Capital City of Italy. After a whirlwind weekend of touring with our class, I learned more than I have during an entire semester in the classroom. We explored the Vatican first, and then moved on to Ancient Rome the next day. Not only did we tour the Colosseum, but also the Pantheon and the Roman Forum. We even went to a bar made completely of ice that night. To see the history and remarkable architecture of it all thousands of years later fascinated me. I couldn't wait to return with my parents 2 months later.
 AMALFI COAST | capri & positano | SEPT. 2012
THE AMALFI COAST is a stretch of coastline on the southern coast of the Sorrentine Peninsula in the Province of Salerno in Southern Italy. It is one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world with stunning cliffs and gorgeous waters. We had an amazing time exploring and lounging on the black rock beach!
the Amalfi Coast | Our experience in the Amalfi Coast was amazing. After a six-hour bus ride, we arrived in Sorrento, where our resort was located. On the first day, we took a ferry to the island of Capri, where we spent the day on a boat ride, shopping, limincello tasting, eating the famous seafood, and more. The cliff views were absolutely amazing. It was even more beautiful when we traveled through the cliffs to Positano the next day. These views absolutely took our breath away. Spending the day on the black rock beach amongst such gorgeous views and buildings was incredible. Exploring the ruins of Pompeii was the perfect ending to the weekend.
 Oktoberfest | MUNICH
We spent the day at the Casa Emma winery and vineyard in the Tuscan countryside for our Italian Cuisine class in October. Not only did we tour the factory, but we were able to explore the vineyards and taste a variety of different Tuscan wines and olive oils. It was an amazing experience, and the vineyards views were gorgeous.
has been my dream place to visit since I was little, and it absolutely lived up to all of my expectations and more. We were able to spend four full days of our fall beak seeing all of the sights, enjoying the food, and just strolling down the Parisian streets. We climbed to the top of the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, window shopped down the Champs Elysees, visited the Sacre Coeur and Notre Dame Cathedral, saw the Moulin Rouge all lit up, and of course admired the Mona Lisa in the Louvre. It really was a trip of a lifetime. | PARIS, FRANCE
