1: Florida May 28th - June 8th 2011 We started our family vacation with three fun-filled days at Universal Studios in Orlando, followed by five nights on the beach at Siesta Key. Finally, back to Orlando for a day at Discovery Cove to swim with the dolphins and two days at Seaworld. Loved it! It was a beautiful and relaxing twelve days.

7: Soaking fun on the river raft ride, again and again.

8: Meeting the characters and riding the train in silly Seuss Landing

10: Andrew and John had a wonderful time playing at several of the parks in Universal Studios. The boys could have stayed at this water park for hours.

11: Waterworks

12: Andrew was excited to see the original car from "Back to the Future"

13: The boys cooled off in the Coke refreshinators. | Weather: Sunny Hot Humid

14: Andrew and John played in"hamster balls at an Orlando mall. The boys loved it.!

16: What time is it? Beach time!


18: Rebekah loves the beach!

20: Our family had a great time playing in the water and building sandcastles together. The quartz sand was always cool and easy to mold.

22: "Our memories of the gulf will linger on, long after our footprints in the sand are gone."

23: We spent every evening on the beach, building sandcastles and watching the sunset.

25: We all loved spending time in the kayaks. Eric and Rebekah were able to paddle out and see a dolphin up close.

26: Hyatt Siesta Key We loved our home at the Hyatt: Four beautiful bathrooms, three bedrooms, and an amazing kitchen and living area. I think we could have lived there!

28: Eric and Deb loved the hammocks on the beach.

30: We always like to get good pictures of our kids, but sometimes it's the un-posed reality that is priceless.

33: Evenings At night, we enjoyed making smores at the fire pit and swimming in the pool and hot tub. One night the kids got to watch "Shark Tales" while lounging in the pool.

34: Discovery Cove We spent our 19th wedding anniversary swimming with the dolphins and snorkeling at Discovery Cove. It was a beautiful tropical oasis in the midst of Orlando. Getting to meet and play with the dolphins was a highlight of our vacation.

36: Everyone loved being given a ride by the dolphins. Not everyone (especially Andrew) liked kissing the dolphins.

37: "A moment lasts all of a second, but the memory lives on forever."

39: The Lazy River

41: We snorkeled with stingrays, tropical fish, and even sharks (who were behind a glass wall but still scary to swim past.) We all enjoyed touching and feeding the stingrays. | Shark!

45: We loved watching the birds as they flew down and ate cups of fruit from our hands.

49: Seaworld We enjoyed the incredible shows at Seaworld the most. The dolphin show was amazing.!

51: The Shamu show included lots of splashes and dancing trainers. The sea lions were also very entertaining to watch.

52: Andrew's favorite memories.... ...shooting foam balls at a giant playground at Universal. ...riding the rapids on the river raft ride at Universal. ...the Spiderman ride at Universal. ...being a star in the "Disaster" show at Universal. ...playing in huge "hamster balls." ...interacting with a dolphin. ...the hot tub and the sand at the beach on Siesta Key. | Our Favorite Memories... | John's favorite memories... ...The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal (the rides, the butterbeer, and the chocolate frogs) ...playing in the water park and ball pit at Universal. ...the river raft ride at Universal. ...having root beer floats and making smores at the beach. ...watching "Shark Tales" from the pool at the Hyatt on Siesta Key. ...building sandcastles. ...souvenir shopping at the beach. ...the helicopter simulation ride at SeaWorld. ...playing on the giant playground at SeaWorld. ...seeing killer whales at SeaWorld. ...swimming with a dolphin at Discovery Cove. ...snorkeling at Discovery Cove. ...Playing in the huge "hamster balls" at the mall.
