S: Girls' Gone Disney by Lacey LeBlanc
FC: Girls' Gone Disney | A Ashley, C ori, & Lacey Adventure
Ashley & I left on December 1, 2009 bound for Florida and more importantly Disney World. Our home for a week was The Caribbean Beach Resort, Trinidad South. Here we met up with one of my good friends, Cori. Cori was participating in the Disney College Program and working at the hotel in which we stayed. The three of us spent time in all four parks, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Our time was spent experiencing attractions, rides, shopping and laughing.... a lot of laughing! | Girls' Disney Vacation
Disney Vacation December 1-6, 2009 | Office Countdown which began on Day 54.
Waiting for the Magical Express to take us to our hotel. | All smiles... off to Disney we go!!
 Caribbean Beach Resort Trinidad South
 The refrigerator.
DOWNTOWN DISNEY | Our 1st night, we had dinner at Plant Hollywood. Yummy!! Ashley & I each had a pinacolava (right) before our meal. It was our fav! Cori (left) & I split the sizzling fajitas for our main course.
When girls get together of course they going to shop. Downtown Disney was the perfect place. One of the unique items I found was magnet that looked just like a fudge ice cream stick (see above). The funny part is Cori and her friend Rosa thought it was real and went on a search to find one just like it. Ashley & I didn't know where they went, but on our search for them we stop to listen to an awesome band ..... When we finally found them, they were in the Ghiradelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop. They said they had been looking for a fudge ice cream like me, but had given up and stopped there. It's a good thing they decided to stop. They would have been looking all night. Ha Ha!!
Cirque du Soleil was absolutely AMAZING - - a must see!!! We loved the stunning performances by the gymnasts, acrobats, dancers, and clowns.
Day 2 began with breakfast at Kouzzina located at Disney's BoardWalk Resort and recently opened in Sept. 2009. The food was delicious especially the breakfast potatoes. I would definitely recommend.
The Animal Kingdom was the 1st park we visited. What a great time we had!!! Some of the attractions we visited were: It's Tough to be a Bug, Festival of the Lion King, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Maharajah Jungle Trek, Kali River Rapids, Expedition Everest, Finding Nemo-The Musical, Primeval Whirl, & Dinosaur.
Dinosaurs (left): Surprisingly, Ashley & Cori were more scared than me on this ride. | Looking cool with our bug eye glasses!! | Maharajah Jungle Trek (Below)
Festival of the Lion King (above) Expedition Everest (below): Do I look scared or what!?! | Ashley frowning & thinking "Why didn't my poncho keep me dry on Kali River Rapids."
We had dinner at Chef Mickey's located on the fourth floor of the Contemporary Resort. The highlight of the meal was meeting the characters. We saw Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald too. Our waiter brought Cori a cupcake (next page) to celebrate her Disney extension.
Day 3 began with breakfast at the Crystal Palace Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom. While enjoying the delicious buffet we visited with Pooh and friends. Overall it was a GREAT experience!!
Magic Kingdom | No Disney trip is complete without visiting the Magic Kingdom!!
