FC: A Walk of Fame into Hollywood! | Paramount Studios | My Walk of Fame in Hollywood! | Haley Tipton | By: | Google

California is a huge travel must see for the Summer! Most people go for the glitz, glamor, and movie stars. It's hot and just a very exciting place to be! My destination is a little northwest of the popular L.A.! I'm headed off to Hollywood, California! | Google

The History of Hollywood. | Hollywood was established in 1853 and was named after a Dutch settlement, "Hollywood." By 1900, Hollywood had a growing population of about 500 people as well as having, a post office, a newspaper stand, a hotel, and two markets. By 1904, the first Trolley car was installed and the area around it was called the "Hollywood Boulevard." The first motion picture was built in 1919 in a town nearby Hollywood, and motion picture became very popular. The famous Hollywood sign was built on Mount Lee in 1923. The Hollywood walk of fame was built in 1956, and has over 2,200, and counting, five-pointed stars for significant contributers to entertainment. In the 1950s, movie making became very popular and Hollywood began to provide clips for television shows. Although it was very popular back then, Paramount is the only movie studio remaining in Hollywood today. Another little fact about Hollywood is that it doesn't have a "municipal" government, but it does have an "honorary mayor" for special purposes. | Google

This is a map of all the most common and popular areas people should visit while they are exploring the Hollywood Boulevard. | Google

Hollywood tends to have a warm, hot and dry summer, but has a cooler and wetter winter. It can get very hot in the summer at times though! So shorts and t-shirts are a definite clothing to bring! Spring, Fall, and Winter have the most comfortable and are the nicest times to go to Hollywood, temperature wise so it isn't as hot. Rain is very uncommon in Hollywood and Hollywood only gets 37 wet days a year. So, rain isn't really a problem. Humidity is a very "common and decisive factor in Hollywood's climate." The humidity in Hollywood doesn't change majorly though. Light, gentle winds are common in Hollywood. Although, winds get a little stronger in April and May. So, if you get cold easily you may want to bring a light jacket with you. Hollywood isn't generally affected by any large storms such as, hurricanes and tropical storms. | Climate and Weather | Google

Culture of Hollywood? | Clothing in Hollywood can be a bit much for people from the countryside. Unless, whatever countryside you're from has 6 inch heels, expensive satin gowns, or flashy everyday wear. Well, that's what many rich people in Hollywood wear. Unless, you're just a tourist and don't care what you wear, then some comfy sweat pants and a t-shirt works! There isn't really anything cultural other than silly stuff like that. Just basic stuff like, they speak English and the currency used is the dollar bill | Google

About Paramount Studios? | Paramount Pictures Studios is a fun and exciting place to visit in Hollywood! You can stay 2 hours, up to half a day there, tour or self guided. Paramount Studios has been open since the 1920's and has produced famous shows such as, I love Lucy, and Star Trek, as well as Forrest Gump, Braveheart, Titanic and Gladiator. Paramount Studios is one of the only studios left in Hollywood. Entertainment Tonight's set is up at the studio as well. It gets so busy you have to reserve a tour way ahead of time! The tours are about 48$ per person. Tours are given everyday about every few hours or so. It's definitely worth it though! | Google

Journal Entry #1 So this is my first entry in my journal for my trip! I've decided I'm going to fill it up with all my fun adventures that i had in that day! So, today it was about lunch time and I was SOOOOO hungry! I asked a nice looking woman what the best restaurant in Hollywood was. She told me that there was a place up the street called, "Musso and Frank Grill." It was a short walk there, but once i got inside it was just BEAUTIFUL! Turns out I got to sit in the same seat Charlie Chaplin sat in! I'm STILL super excited and giggly over it! I recommend this place to EVERYBODY!!! I'm stillll craving their delicious filet mignon ! I got an 8 oz. for only 37.00$! It was DEFINETLY worth it! | Google

Journal #2 | This is journal number 2 of my fun Hollywood activities! To be honest, I was feeling very strange, and bizarre today. So, I took a ride down to Ripley's Believe It or Not! Odditorium! You think you've seen weird? This place has EVERYTHING that is truly weird! Two floors of creepy, real life things! I even met the owner, Robert Ripley! As an adult I only paid 16.99$! | Google

Journal #3 | This is my third journal from Hollywood! I'm having so much fun! I've been thinking... I really love it here! It's my dream way of living!!!!! Today, I went to do the one thing that EVERYBODY dreams of doing! I went to see the Hollywood Walk of Fame! I saw some of my favorite actors, actresses, and Muppets! Yes! The Muppets as in, the Muppets who are singing puppets! I even saw Garth Brook's, and Walt Disney's star too! | Google

Journal #4 | This is my fourth journal, and I think I'm going to stop my journals after this. I feel so tired of writing. My hand is turning all bruised and pink from my hand moving around so quickly on the desk! Today, I went to Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum! You think you've seen realistic art? Not this realistic! Some of the actors were there today and they all stood by their statues. I took a picture with one thinking he was a wax statue! HE WAS A REAL LIFE PERSON!!! Everybody was laughing at me after that little spook! It was still the coolest thing I've EVER seen! | Google | Google

Hollywood and Las Vegas are thought of as somewhat similar. Although, the truth is, they are very different as well. Hollywood is known for all its actors and actresses. On the other hand, Las Vegas is known for all its casinos and fancy hotels. Hollywood has many attractions specifically made for entertainment, while in Las Vegas, everything is entertainment even if it's not made specifically for entertainment reasons. Both are very popular vacation sights and are very popular movie sights. Hollywood makes the movies but, Las Vegas is the destination of the movie set up. | Hollywood vs. Las Vegas | Vs. | Google | Google

The Effect of Hollywood | Hollywood has had a big effect on me. I've realized many things but, the most important thing I've realized is about having fun! No matter where I go, I should at least try and have fun! Without fun, what's the point of anything? To be honest, if everything was boring and made me sad, or angry, why would I want to do anything? That is my logistics for the effects on me from Hollywood! All of those fun things I did in Hollywood has made me look at things like they should all be fun and giggly! Which is definitely okay with me!

This is my travelogue all about my trip to Hollywood. So hoping that you actually took the time to read all the fascinating parts I wrote, instead of skipping over, that you now will be wanting to go to Hollywood! Also, in the beginning, I called it my "Walk of Fame into Hollywood." Now that you know what that is, I hope you understand! Well, even though I'm not a professional contributer to anything, and won't be getting a star, I took it into my own hands to make my own! Well, I'd loved to hear about anybody else's walk of fame into Hollywood. :)
