Dear Granny, Thank you so much for our dream vacation to Hawaii this summer. We had a wonderful time catching up with family and lots of fun exploring the islands of Hawaii. Zach owes you a special thank you as well (once he is old enough to say the words himself) - how many other kids can say that they hiked the Na Pali Coast, watched their mom and dad swim with dolphins and sea turtles, and played in the white sands and clear waters of Oahu all before the age of 1? What a lucky guy. Thank you again for your generosity and for including us in this celebration in honor of your 60th anniversary with Pawpaw. We're sad that he couldn't be with us in person, but we know he was there with us in spirit. Lots of love, Jeni, Jon and Zach
The Cobbs | Vernon Chris Allison Jonathan
Mom, A-lo-ha!!! We just finished looking through some of our pictures from Hawaii again. It was an amazing trip. It almost seems like it was a fantasy. Pictures can't do it justice. You have to see it to believe. People are not exaggerating when they say it's a paradise- a little bit of heaven on earth. So many wonderful memories- Pearl Harbor was very moving. It reaffirmed the importance in my mind of having memorials. I am glad that Allison was able to share that experience with me. It was good to be able to see another aspect of Dad's life. The landscape was breathtaking, one scene more amazing than the next. It was fun to be able to experience the wonders of Hawaii as a family. Allison has always wanted to do The Amazing Race with me, so getting to spend quality time with her doing fun things like kayaking, the zip line and parasailing was priceless, as they say. Jonathan is still talking about kayaking, the sea turtles and the BIG boat. (That ice-cream bar made a big impression, too!) Chris, well, she thinks she’s still in Hawaii. Before we left on the trip, people asked if we were going for a reason. We explained that You and Dad had celebrated your anniversary with the whole family on a cruise a few years ago and that Dad wanted to take everyone to Hawaii for your 60th wedding anniversary. Even though he had passed away, we explained that you wanted to honor his wishes. It was a way to celebrate his life and honor the man who always put his family before everything. We talked about Dad often when we were on the trip. He was an amazing man and a wonderful father. I only hope that I can be as inspiring to my own children and grandchildren. Thank you for your overwhelming generosity in allowing us the opportunity as a family to experience the trip of a lifetime. Love, Vernon, Chris, Allison and Jonathan
 The Roses | Steve Phyllis
Dear Mom, What a wonderful time! What priceless memories! Thank you, Mom, for such an incredible experience. Being able to travel to such a beautiful place in the world was a very generous gift. Being able to share it with all of our family has provided us with memories that we will always treasure. Since becoming grandparents, we have been blessed to see the world anew through Brighton’s and Cielle’s eyes. Watching them take in the sights and sounds of Hawaii made our time there all the richer. You and Dad have been so generous and caring – we are so grateful for everything you have done for us. Thanks again for the trip of a lifetime. Love, Steve and Phyllis

Granny, Words can never express how grateful I am for the trip to Hawaii. It was so much more than just an amazing trip to a magical place with people I love (a lot of people that I love). It was definitely a much needed break for me, but it also allowed me some invaluable insight for my life. I (sort of) conquered my fear of heights (a little bit). Yay zipline for that! I will never be able to thank you and PaPa enough for this blessing. Love, Stephanie
The Whittakers | Keith Briana Brighton Cielle
Granny, Mahalo! Thank You! Mahalo nui loa! We couldn't begin to thank you enough for the memories you have given to us, our family, and the entire Cobb extended tree. You have blessed our children, your Great Grandchildren, with an experience of a lifetime! Not a week has passed that both Brighton and Cielle have spoke of their time in Hawaii. What an awesome experience they had, and we get to relive it frequently through their precious memories and curious questions. Hawaii is the destination of people's dreams. We have now lived this dream and get to look back on the times we shared with you and the rest of the family. Hawaii was not a destination we ever dreamed would come to fruition. You, and PaPa, have made this dream come true. We are proud to be members of your family and feel blessed to have been a part of this vacation. We hope this book provides you with a daily reminder of the dream that you and PaPa were gracious enough to share with the entire family. Love, Briana, Keith, Brighton, and Cielle
