26: Day 8 Checking out, Pearl Harbor (again), Human Hamster Ball, Aloha Hawaii~!
27: We said our goodbyes to the Hale Koa Hotel and headed off to Pearl Harbor (again). This time would prove more successful when we scored tickets to the 1:30 ferry out to the USS Arizona. We grabbed a bite to eat at the Naval Exchange (NEX) nearby and then came back to watch the video and finally see the USS Arizona Memorial up close. | Many soldiers remain entombed in the ship, Even after 70 years it is still leaking oil into the ocean.
29: Thanks to Groupon, Steph & Dave discovered a wild extra-curricular activity for us to experience on our trip. The Human Hamster Ball We wandered into the International Marketplace where all the hilarity ensued. Manny, Sara and Dave were volunteered as the victims of the ball. Steph would have participated but had to bow out due to sunburn. Then all the girls got henna tattoos.
30: We had a wonderful time in Hawaii. We laughed, we cried, we drank, Sonya & Jason got married, and Steph turned 27. After all was said and done, it was time to go back to Texas and Alaska. We took back with us shotglasses, magnets, a few hawaiian dresses, and a whole lot of memories.
