S: faith to stand | Josh is awesome!

BC: faith to stand | Israel was filled with life changing experiences that I will never be able to encounter again. God's presence in the land, history, experiences and the whole trip was evident. As I look back on the trip, I wanted to leave with a phrase that would lead me back to the intimate times I had with God in Israel. On the mountainside of Mount Arbel, overlooking the Sea of Galilee, I was challenged by The Word about my faith. Peter stepped out of the boat to meet Jesus. Is my faith evident to others? Can people see God in me? Do I have the faith to stand? Jason Zimmerman

FC: faith to stand

"Give me the words to speak Pour down like rain Washing my eyes to see Your majesty..."

Megiddo | The land where 'all roads meet.' Seventeen layers of civilization built on one mount that overlooks the Jezreel Valley. The valley is also known as the site where the Battle of Armageddon will take place. Revelation 16

"I want the joy of the Lord to come down!" | Ancient Harbor

 Caesarea

 A Place to Call Home

Although Caesarea was one of the many places King Herod lived, all Christians can call this place home. Caesarea is the site where Paul converted the first gentile, Cornelius and his whole family, making this a place where all our 'spiritual' roots began. Acts 10

 Bahai Gardens

"The complexity of life throws our minds into confusion: unanswered questions and life's mysteries. I call out for answers to meet me in this place. Yet I forgot who holds the world in His hands." | Journal | "As I sit on the mountainside of the Sea of Galilee, I am awestruck at the power of God. I see splendor beyond belief and stories come to life. As I read Matthew 8 and 14, I see Jesus and His disciples at the Sea both times. And there is another common theme: lack of faith!" | Thursday May 20th

"Beauty beyond compare. Created only by my Father. He answers my cry in His time, not mine. He loves us all the same, yet knows us each by name. Oh, God, there's just something about Your love."

"A storm calmed by His hand, a great defeat no man could ever do. Set His feet on water and walked. Would I have the faith to stand?"

Zippori | Basilica | The home of Mary Mother of Jesus | The home of Mary Mother of Jesus | The town where Jesus worked

Matthew 5-7 Sermon on the Mount Korazim Moses Seat Sea of Galilee Boat 2,000 years old | Kursi | Jesus healed the demon possessed man Matthew 8:23-33

Miracle Revealed | John 21 is the miracle where Jesus finds the disciples fishing at night and they hadn't caught any fish. Jesus tells them to cast the net on the other side and they immediately catch fish. What was the miracle? Many of us would say the miracle was that the disciples caught fish after Jesus told them to cast their nets. Yuval, our atheist tour guide, revealed to us that the miracle was the fact the disciples didn't catch any fish that night. He told us, "That was the miracle because God wanted to teach them that their fish didn't come from the nets or their talents but from the man on the shore...Jesus!"

The black marks on the rocks is residue from when the city was burnt in the Old Testament | Tel Dan | Banyas Falls

 Nimrod's Fortress | Crusader Palace

Jordan River | Beth Shean | 'house of security' 1 Samuel 31

 Desert Overlook

We walked down the steep mountain to the lookout where Jesus wept over the city of Jerusalem. We prayed in a private garden and read Mark 14:32-42 as we saw the site where Jesus was taken to be crucified. | Garden of Gethsemane

I prayed at the Wailing Wall and saw people writing messages to God and placing them in the wall. Some of the wall is underneath the modern city. Archaeologists have preserved some of the wall and we went underground to see it. | Western 'Wailing' Wall

Herodium | Herod's personal palace built inside a mountain

Church of the Nativity | The place where Jesus was born | Southern Wall

A thousand times I failed Still Your mercy remains | Everlasting Your light will shine When all else fades Never ending Your glory goes beyond all fame! | Should I stumble again Still I'm caught in Your grace

"Our days never felt the same. Today, we went to see a model of the Temple Mount during the 2nd Temple Period. We also went to see the Holocaust Museum, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Golgotha, Garden Tomb and the Dead Sea Scrolls. Only one word can describe the sights we saw...Incredible!" | A Day of Remembrance | "Gradually we returned to the cycle of life, but we never recovered." Quote by a Holocaust Survivor

 Golgotha

God, How do I hear Your voice? How can I find my answers to my questions? God, I know You are there but sometimes my decisions come faster than I realize. Show me the way! Direct my path straight into Your arms. When I look to You, I find all I need! I wanna stay with You forever, wrapped in Your glorious presence. Amen
