BC: DEPARTED | Honeymoons | 14 Oct 2012
FC: After the Wedding | HONEYMOON | August - October | We were blessed with life events leading up to the wedding day that made it possible for us to go on three honeymoons: Hawaii, Las Vegas and Loreto, Mexico!
Two wedding dresses later: * hair undone; * cards unfolded; * gifts unwrapped
I have always heard about Hawaii, so we added to the statistic as the most visited place for honeymoons. We wanted to be in a sunny place with warm waters since we already went to Europe a week after David proposed! | KAUAI
WAIMEA CANYON David has a fear of heights, yet he still managed to maintain composure in this pose.
The treacherous hike lead to this sorry little waterfall. The steep drops had no safety net and the rocks were slippery from the moss, so the potential for serious injury existed.
NA PALI | I had a blast riding in the front of the rafter. It was like riding a horse!
BLUE ROOM CAVE, KAUAI This is the first time ever being in a cave so the experience was cool. We heard that you can swim in this freezing water and enter a beautiful colored room inside. We were also told one can die from swallowing the bacteria filled water...so we passed on any sort of swim.
Tunnel Reef | Best snorkeling in Kauai | 28 Aug 2012
BONDI BEACH David kept telling people that I broke the law for touching this sea turtle but he forgot the part where he told me to touch it! This is where I did my first real snorkeling on my own without David next to me and saw some real cool big fishes!
 Moana Surfrider
This magnificent Indian banyan tree was given to Hawaii and is over 100 yrs old!
PEARL HARBOR The oil still leaking from the USS Arizona makes the experience of the past still very alive and real in the present. The memorial is to honor the Sailors that were burned and trapped on the ship.
Manoa Falls, Oahu | This was another treacherous hiking trail leading to another small waterfall. It was raining so I decided to stay dry by only wearing my bathing suit. The hiking shoes were a life saver! It was super muddy and super green - very pretty indeed.
LAS VEGAS During a brief, difficult period, David turned to Vegas for answers, good times, and progress on his Network Certification study.
LORETO, MEXICO I saw sea lions making love so gracefully and beautifully. It was amazing and I loved hearing the rice crispy popping noises under the water. We were told they were coming from crabs.
LORETO, MEXICO | OMG! I love Mexico more than Hawaii on all counts - best snorkeling, shorter travel distance, and significantly more affordable! I love the super warm and clear water to swim in. You can hear the water crackle like rice crispy cereal, and rays of sun shinning through the water. There were a lot more fish. We stayed in very beautiful homes for only $100 for the entire week! I want to come back every year for snorkeling!
Solar Eclipse! | Life after honeymoon begins...
SANTACON | AYRES ROCK/ULURU the world's largest monolith and an Aboriginal sacred site is Australia's most famous natural landmark. | Our first Christmas together as man and wife. Early one morning we awoke to our Xmas tree timbered to the floor, but we handled it really well as a team. David and his parents got me our favorite elegant, yet casual, wedding china!
