1: Los Angeles is the largest city in California and second largest urban area in the U.S. It extends more than 40 mi from the mountains to the sea. The city's growth was brought about by its calming and tempered climate which attracted people and industry from all parts of the nation. 2: Los Angeles is a famous vacation destination and it attracts millions of tourist to the area. Los Angeles County is the nation's largest manufacturing center, Los Angeles and Long Beach ports are second only to New York as the largest customs district in the U.S.. California was the last place to surrender to the United States at the time of the American occupation in 1847. By the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848, Mexico ceded California to the United States, and Los Angeles was incorporated as a city in 1850. | http://www.heeve.com

6: In L.A. you can see a lot of different kinds of art culture and entertainment. Most of it is in Hollywood. For art you could see some Broadway at the Pantage Theater or see movies of famous celebrities. 7: Los Angeles is located on a hilly coastal plain with the Pacific Ocean as its southern and western boundaries. The city is stretched north to the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains and is bounded by the San Gabriel Mountains to the east. Numerous canyons and valleys are characterize the region. 9: There is nothing very different in Los Angeles than the rest of the United States. There is this one thing and its that many famous celebrities live in Los Angeles because of the beach, the shopping and of Hollywood. At night its always busy. | http://la.curbed.com

10: There is one place in Los Angeles that is full of luxury is Beverly Hills. They have amazing 5 star quality hotels.It also have many restaurants that even celebrities go to eat at. Keep in mind that it is very expensive. | http://www.flickr.com/

11: Journal #1 Dear Journal I just arrived in Los Angeles and I'm in the car with some of my friends and we are heading to the Beverly Hills to get a hotel room. We chose Beverly Hills because we heard that they have really luxurious hotels and restaurants. Some hotels are Beverly Wilshire,Montage, Peninsula and the Beverly Hills Hotel. We chose Beverly Hills Hotel because it looked pretty amazing.So we are planning to go to Universal Studios Hollywood tomorrow. Thats all for today. | http://cthulhuwho1.com

12: Journal #2 Dear Journal I can't wait to get to Universal Studios. I hear there are some amazing rides in Universal Studios. I really want to ride the 3D Transformers ride. Then we are going to check out the rest of Hollywood later today.Tomorrow we are probably going to go shopping in the Beverly Hills. 13: Journal #3 Dear Journal Universal Studios was really fun yesterday. Today we are going to go shopping and buy some really expensive clothing. After shopping we went get some dinner. It was so hard to choose a restaurant so we just randomly chose Thomas Keller’s Bouchon. The food was delicious. Since tomorrow is the last day of fun we are ending it with Disney Land. | http://la.eater.com

14: Journal #4 Dear Journal It was pretty long drive to Disney Land. We rode on many rides. The line for most of the rides were really long. We saw Mickie and Minnie so we took a picture with them. We saw other of Mickie's friends,but a lot kids wanted to take pictures with them too. We stayed there all day until it closed. So thats all the fun for me in L.A. | http://www.parentprojectmd.org

15: Similarities and Differences of L.A. and Kansas City L.A. and Kansas City are quite similar and different. They both have theme parks near them. L.A. has Disney Land and Kansas City has World's of fun and Ocean's of Fun. They have different location settings. 16: Cause and Effect My journey in L.A. made some effect in my life. It proved to me that why Hollywood is known for entertainment. I learned to use my money wisely not to spend all your money on something only used once. I also realized that 5 star hotels are very expensive .
