S: Mexican Cruise 2009
FC: Mexican Cruise January 2009
Anticipation Anticipa-a-tion... Is keeping me waiting.... Trying to be patient while we wait in line to get onto our ship.
An hour later, after going through security, one more line, then processing, we were handed our "sail 'n' sign" cards, and sent on our way up the gangplank! | First up to the Lido deck where we began the arduous process of stuffing our faces. Then to our rooms to check them out. The girls & guys each had big double-door-sized windows looking out at the ocean and LIFEBOATS! At least we had a source of light and fresh sea air.
After checking out our rooms, we moseyed on over to Geraldine & Bruce's Balcony Suite. WOW!!Their balcony was HUGE!!There was room for all of us, and then some! Why even go inside with a balcony like that?!?
Our waiters, Promma and Phillip | Our first night in the dining room!
STRAWBERRY bISQUE! | Beautiful Food! | chocolate cake | wARM CHOCOLATE MELTING CAKE!!!
 Dressing up for formal nights!
Boating and snorkeling in Mazatlan | We chartered a boat in Mazatlan that took us out to a big rock in the middle of nowhere. There was one sealion sunning himself, and several more circling, waiting for a wave to help them up. Every time one succeeded, we all clapped and cheered :o) By the time we left, there were a half dozen successful sea lions!
There was also a group of about ten sealions just floating on their backs, linked to each other in a kind of floating island, just their heads and flippers sticking out of the water.
Snorkeling | "Now what, exactly, are we supposed to do with these things?"
Horseback Riding in Puerto Vallarta Rancho Capoma Crazy Tony Nunez | We all were assigned horses that matched our riding abilities, but the best matches were Jacob on Angelita, and Andrew on Hidalgo. When Andrew got on, he looked too big for this little horse to carry, but as he said, his horse had the heart of a champion!. Angelitawas anything but an angel. When Jacob steered him toward another horse, Angelita bit the other horse :o)
Cabo San Lucas - Wild Canyon Eco Tour Elise, Chad, Jennifer, Chelsea & Andrew went on the zipline, crossing canyons at over 30 mph. One line was over 1/2 mile long, and took us within a few feet of the canyon wall. A little scary, but FUN! Our guides were Eugenio & Ivan.
Happy Birthday, Chad! As a joke, we ordered a birthday cake for Chad, knowing his birthday is in June. Much was his surprise when our waiters started singing Happy Birthday to him! To make the joke complete, a total stranger patted Chad on the back on the way out of the dining room and said, "Happy birthday, Man!"
 Mugging for the Camera!
New Friends | Promma took extra special care of Jacob | Draggan was our gym buddy. Noli made sure our room was always nice and we were always happy
 Just "chillaxin'"
Towel Animals! What cruise is complete without friends made out of common household linens? | A basic seal | The seal incognito as a lucadora | a cute little dinosaur!
Jacob made two build-a-bear animals, so he had three friends! | The boys were thrilled to find a stingray on their bed on the very day they'd watched stingrays jumping out of the ocean on their whale-watching trip! | No more monkeys jumping on the bed! They're swinging from the rafters instead!
Magic Mountain Theme Park | The superman ride was a huge favorite
Chad won a batman cape at the climbing wall. | Amazing how much fun you can have with a cheap cape!
