FC: Motorhoming! 2013
Motorhoming! 2013 This year's camping was focused on our favourite provincial parks in our area again. Buffalo Pound, Crooked Lake, Douglas. We also visited friends with the motorhome a few times. At the end of the season we celebrated Marlies's 50th birthday with the Williams clan at Buffalo Pound. | Buffalo Pound, Maple Vale campground
Buffalo Pound Provincial Park, May 17-20 Starting off the season on the May Long Weekend at Buffalo Pound (pics on previous and this page). We had a private site on Maple Vale, tried out our new BBQ and friends came to visit (the Huiskes family, Gord).
Buffalo Pound Provincial Park, May 31 - June 2 Back to Buffalo Pound for another weekend, on Trails End this time. We love it that this park has so many different styles of sites. At night we watched some stunning northern lights right above us!
Crooked Lake Provincial Park, June 20-25 Waterfront site - it does not get any better than this! Nico caught some fish and it turned out our neighbours were Joan and Warren, who we knew from a previous visit to Crooked Lake. Sandra popped by on her way home from Winnipeg!
 Crooked Lake
Glenbain, June 28-30 We hadn't seen Fred and Jackie in a long time, so we went to visit them on their acreage in Glenbain (west of Gravelbourg). It was great to catch up again. We went to Kincaid for wings night, Nico went fishing at Thomson Lake and we got to see some spectacular northern lights!!
Hartwell Cabin, Buffalo Pound, July 12-15 A very special weekend with a very special family! Nico's co-worker Randi had invited us to a deck party at their cabin and we could camp on their lot. There were several guests, friends as well as family, staying either in the cabin or in a trailer. Long story short, the Hartwells adopted us and the party was so much fun (Jeffrey Straker performed)! We spent a lot of time at the cabin, but the views from our camping spot were spectacular (right across from the provincial park) and we got to see some northern lights again.
 Buffalo Pound
Douglas Provincial Park, July 19-23 Time to go to Lake Diefenbaker to meet with our Moose Jaw friends Gord and Lorraine, and George and Laureen! Good times over some coffee, alcoholic beverages and BBQ food. | BBQ at Gord & Lorraine's
Rowan's Ravine Provincial Park, July 26-28 A short camping weekend at Last Mountain Lake on an open but spacious site on the Elmwood campground. Anne, Tim, Amber and little Jessie Huiskes joined us in their tent, which sucked when we had a bad thunderstorm in the middle of the last night! | Buffalo Pound Provincial Park, August 9-11 Another short weekend at Buffalo Pound, Trails End. Gord came to visit and the Huiskes family the next day.
Douglas Provincial Park, September 13-17 After season camping rules! We had some quiet days by Lake Diefenbaker and Gord visited again for a day.
Buffalo Pound Provincial Park, September 20-22 Back at Buffalo Pound for one more fall weekend (oh the colours!!) at Maple Vale with the Williams. Gord brought cat Buster and Graham brought his dog Si. Lorraine, Leilah and Lorellei with little Rhone came to visit on what happened to be Marlies's 50th birthday. We celebrated all weekend! On the last day George and Laureen popped by too for a walk.
