1: June 18-26 2011 Jen (38), Connor (8), Joe (41), Keira (5), Gung Gung Ray Lew (62) We chose to visit New York to spend time with Jen's college roommate, Winnie Howe. We spent most of the time relaxing at their house before heading into New York City for 2 nights, then Niagara Falls in Canada for our last 2 nights. | 1
2: Happy to be running around in the car rental office! | Stringing cheerios in the airplane kept Keira and Connor occupied. | 2
3: Gung Gung took the above photo of a bee. He was practicing his nature photography with his filters. For the first part of our trip, we stayed in Winnie and Eddie's house in New Jersey. This is the apron that Jen made for Winnie as a thank you. | 3

26: We spent time at Life Time Athletic's huge kiddie pool. All 4 kids and Joe played in the water while Winnie and Jen lounged. | 26

36: Connor and Collin had a great time together, often to the dismay of Evan, who was at the receiving end of their mischievousness. We were off to stay at the Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown East for 2 nights before moving on to see Niagara Falls. | 36

41: After dinner, Joe and Jen checked out Times Square. Boy, was it crowded at night! | Times Square | 41

43: The next night, Jen and Dad visited Times Square. We saw ourselves on the big screen above! | 43
44: Times Square is bright and crowded at night. As we headed back to the hotel, we decided to call a taxi since it was completely deserted right outside the square. | Times Square | 44
45: The view from our hotel window. | There was too much fog, so we couldn't visit the top of the Empire State Building. We settled for pictures inside the lobby with the model. NY is famous for its pizza, but we didn't try any. | 45

48: 3 Mini cupcakes from Baked By Melissa. They were delicious, but literally *one* bite! Jen and Joe shared them while the kids got colorful cupcake stickers. | 48
49: Playing at the large Toys R Us at Times Square. | Keira hula hooped her heart out and even had quite an audience at one point. Connor was on the hunt for a snake because he *needed* to buy one. | 49
50: Tete Bir was born here at Toys R Us! Now she sleeps with Keira every night and has a special place in her heart.

52: We loved M&M's World! Probably because the M&M's look like happy faces and the kids have always liked them. Jen, Connor, and Keira each got matching M&M t-shirts. | Checking out Times Square during the day... | 52

58: F u n a t F A O S c h w a r z | Keira stroked this doll's black hair for a long time. She was fascinated how long and straight it was. Connor loves Snowy Owls. Keira loves dolphins, just like Jen. | 58
61: President Obama was about to pass through the intersection and the streets were blocked off as far as we could see. We waited and finally saw the motorcade coming. It was very exciting but we couldn't see the President in the car as it passed. | 61
62: Jen wanted to try a real Beef Bourguignon from a restaurant since she had made her own at home in the slow cooker. It was nothing to write home about. | 62 | Eating at Matisse.

64: After 10 long hours driving through all weather conditions (sun, rain, hail, and zero-visibility), we arrived at the Embassy Suites Niagara Falls Hotel in Canada. The suite had a living room and a bedroom with a view of the Falls. | Niagara Falls, Canada | 64
65: We stayed here for 2 nights and had a scrumptious breakfast buffet each morning with a fantastic view of the falls. | 65

68: The kids were restless and needed to climb as we waited in line for our boat ride. Guess who the dangerous one is?
70: We all wore blue hooded ponchos to keep our clothes dry. It was fun to wear and see everyone in blue!
72: We initially braved the winds and the waterfall mist, but it got too much so we *tried* to put on our hood to stay dry. We failed miserably and got all wet! The boat was rocking and the spray was everywhere! We had so much

79: s | Visiting Niagara Falls was amazing. It was one of America's natural wonders that we wanted to see and check off our list. We have seen many waterfalls, but this one is so huge in size and amount of water, that there is no comparison! Seeing it is one thing, experiencing it in the boat up close is something we'll never forget. The power of the falls and the mist it generates is awesome! We had the BEST time here. | 79
