1: Arriving in Calgary... | Arrived in Calgary and took the shuttle to the hotel called the Hilton Garden Inn. Attended a Welcome Briefing in the evening. | August 10th, 2011
2: Fort MacCleod | Enjoyed a buffet breakfast and then got on the bus for our ride to Fort MacCleod on our way to Waterton International Peace Park. | August 11th, 2011
3: After a long drive we stopped to look at the Prince of Wales Hotel. We then drove to the Bayshore Inn in Waterton for a two night stay. | We took a walk in the evening and saw Cameron Falls | View of town of Waterton and Waterton Lake. | Prince of Wales Hotel
4: We went for a walk in the evening to take some shots of the beautiful Waterton Lake. | August 11th, 2011
5: After dark on Lake Waterton was breath taking! Below on the left is a picture of Prince of Wales Hotel from the beach behind the Bayshore Inn.
6: Crossed the border into Glacier National Park for a ride on the "Red Jammers". We went up the "Going to the Sun Road" to Logan Pass, shown in the photo below. | August 12th, 2011
7: Next stop Wild Goose Island on St Mary's Lake for some photos. Lunch at the Rising Sun Motor Inn. We had buffalo burgers at the Two Dog Flats Grill. | Happy 33rd, Anniversary!
8: Next stop Many Glacier area on the shores of Swiftcurrent Lake. The Mountain behind us is Grinnell Point. | August 12th, 2011
9: Back to the Bayshore Inn in Waterton for another night. More pictures along the banks of Waterton Lake.
10: Off on a hike up to Bertha Falls. We met a local guy and he led us up the trail. He had a bell and a knife on a walking stick for bears! | August 12th, 2011
11: The next day we took the bus to the Bar U Ranch. Leon roped a cow, at least a wooden one. | August 13th, 2011
12: We got back on the bus and drove to Banff for a Gondola ride up the Sulphur Mountain. Below we could see the town of Banff. | To the right of Banff we could see Tunnel Mountain that we would later climb! | August 13th, 2011

14: After our days activities we return to Banff for our first night stay at Mount Royal Hotel shown in the upper right photo. | In the morning we loaded the bus and headed for Two Jack Lake. 15: Later a stop to see the Banff Springs Hotel, shown in the upper left photo. More fun to come... Next a raft ride on the Bow River!!

17: One interesting site on the river was a rock formation called Hoodoos.Shown in the upper left photo. They were carved by wind and water and have a hard cap on the top that protects them. The photo on the lower left shows Tunnel Mountain. From this view it is said to look like a sleeping Bison!

32: On the shores of Maligne Lake, it was a bit cloudy. I was looking for the little island in the middle, but I guess you have to take a boat ride to the other side of the lake to see it. | August 16th, 2011

36: In the morning we are off to see a glacier! Starting with a drive along the Icefields Parkway. | August 17th, 2011
37: Now for a walk on the Columbia Icefield's Athabasca Glacier! The yellow and blue buses pictured are old buses that used to bring people to the Glacier. | The sign announcing our group said, Amy's Animals!
38: The picture above is of our tour guide Amy. We are on our way up to the glacier in a bus with wheels 6 feet tall! It was a 6 wheel drive!! | August 17th, 2011
39: If you look real close you can see that the water, that is trickling through the glacier, is a pretty turquoise color!
40: After our glacier experience, we enjoyed a leisurely ride back to Calgary, taking in the beautiful sights along the way. | August 17th, 2011
41: After arriving back at the Hilton Garden Inn in Calgary, we had a wonderful Farewell dinner. Bon Voyage!!
