3: Riding the Cog Railway to the top of Pikes Peak - verrrrry slowly 14,100 ft elevation
4: Day 2- Rafting on the Arkansas River
5: Arriving at Philmont - July 9th | Basecamp was an adventure in itself - running for gear, gas, and food
6: food and more food - starting out with 5 days worth - or 4 bear bags full | Getting crew gear, repacking with Alex and attending opening night campfire
7: First stop - Rayado Staff Camp - Kit Carson Museum for a tour, branding, and tomahawk throwing
8: First time on the trail - passing Zastrow on the way to Rayado River Trail Camp
9: Abreu Staff Camp - Goat milking, adobe brick making and Root Beer at the Cantina!
10: Hiking to Lower Bonito trail camp, via the dreaded STAIRMASTER | Toughest hike of the trek - on the 2nd day
11: Lower Bonito Trail camp | Hail showers, dining under the fly and our last camp with Alex
12: Passing thru Crater Lake Camp on the way to Miners'Park
13: Miner's Park staff camp - Rock climbing, some disc, showers, and crossed or uncrosssed
14: On the Tooth of Time ridge trail - where's the top?
15: Let's pause and let that bear go past..yes, that bear right in front of you
16: Clark's Fork staff camp - Boots and Branding, but no chuckwagon dinner
17: Cimarroncito Staff Camp | Rock climbing, cons project, HOT showers and dinner out of the swap box
18: Visto Grande Trail camp | Hot, dry and dusty - not our favorite camp | Ute Gulch Commissary - oh boy, more food
19: Head of Dean staff camp - Challenge events | Mountainball | Indiana Jones | Get'em over the WALL
20: MIRANDA STAFF CAMP 'Uncle', blackpowder rifles, gettin' ready for Baldy
21: On the way to Mt. Baldy | Baldytown (elevation 10,000 feet) and hiking the steep way up
22: Up and Over - getting to the Mount Baldy Summit | 20 yards at a time - stop, breathe, hike, repeat
23: On the top of Mt. Baldy 12,414 feet high

26: Going back down isn't much easier - exiting via the ridge trail to Copper Park | The views were worth every mile - even the wrong turns that made it a 14 mile day
27: Fort Henry Staff Camp - gold panning in the creek, and then back to Baldytown for food - the loooong way
28: Back to Miranda to pack up and get our Burro - Don Quixote - not the most laid back burro in the bunch
29: On the way to Elkhorn, thru the fire-ravaged Head of Dean skyline - burro at our side
30: Elkhorn Trail camp - That gate doesn't look like it will hold that Burro - it didn't !
32: On the road to Ponil, the final day of hiking
33: Ponil staff camp - branding, piano and cards in the cantina, more ROOT BEER
34: On the way out - day 11 | Except the bus forgot to show up!
