During the Song dynasty these mansions were built and since then successive Taoist masters have lived in them. These temples and mansions and temples were built in the representation of Taoism, a religion based on the idea of harmony. What does this mean for you, you ask. Well many who visit this city find it one of the most tranquil, peaceful and beautiful cities they have ever visited.

8: On your first tour day in India your tour guide will take you to the origin of Buddhism itself, the Bodhi tree. Hopefully, from your previous tour, you have learned that Buddhism did not start in China, but instead came from India. Buddhism in India was started by Buddha. At the age of 29, Buddha left his wife and son to find true happiness. He wandered for 7 years for knowledge. One day he sat under the Bodhi tree and saw the light of truth. This tree is the most important historical landmark for modern day Buddhism. The site at which the tree is located, Bohd Gaya, is also the most important site of pilgrimage in Buddhism.

9: India! | Taj Mahal, one of the 7 wonders of the world, is India's most popular attraction. The Jama Masjid, which was also built by Sahajahan, is often overshadowed by the Taj Mahal but is still equal in architectural greatness. Islam in ancient India is often ignored even though it played a significant role in the development of Ancient India. The Juma mosque is Islams greatest mark on India, being a huge structure with a capacity of 25 000 people. This great structure was built during the Mughal empire by the emperor Sahajahan and is the center of Islam in Ancient India. | The last major religion in India is Hinduism which is also the most dominant religion in India. An important city in the growth of Hinduism in India was Mohanjo-Daro. Mohanjo-Daro is a beautiful city which was part of the Indus valley civilization. It's located to the east of the Indus River.
