1: Family Reunion & Thula Thula Private Game Safari | South Africa 2009
2: On December 19th, 2009 we arrived safely in Durban - more than 24 hours after leaving our home in Atlanta. Bad weather in Atlanta and our stopover in Johannesburg caused delays, missed flights and lots of nerve-racking turbulence. It was a relief to finally start our long awaited vacation. This family reunion was proposed by Gavin's parents, Hazel & Tony, earlier in the year and because of their generosity they were able to bring the whole family together. We came from the USA; Gavin's sister Carol & her family came from Australia and his other sister Robyn and her family came down from Johannesburg. Gavin's brother, Graham, who lives in Durban rounded out the family and we spent some wonderful times together over the Christmas holidays. We also enjoyed time with Gavin's best friend Warren and his family and even took a few days to ourselves to go on safari at Thula Thula Private Game Reserve.
