S: Summer in London - 2012

FC: June * 2012 | Brittany Zayas | Summer in London

view of England from the plane | May 31-June 1

CRASH COURSE IN CENTRAL LONDON | June 1 | time to be tourists!

We spent our first full day in England taking a bus tour of Central London....

 PHANG NGA BAY, PHUKET | November 7 | <

@ University of Roehampton | in Digby Stuart Hall | the school truly belongs to the geese! | how very English-ly named....

my room | 6 single rooms to 1 flat, with 1 kitchen, 1 living room, and 2-3 bathrooms

the Queen's Diamond Jubilee | June 3 | Couldn't get close enough to see the Queen... the screens had to do!

Elizabeth II Queen of England *since 1952* second longest reigning monarch at 60 years | Kate, William, & Harry | the Queen asa young woman | free flags! | patriotic ponchos! | Well. | Typical London weather. | yay! | Julie and me

No pictures allowed inside, but the Abbey houses the graves and memorials of kings and queens, as well as notable figures such as William Shakespeare, Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters, Charles Darwin, and my favorite poet T.S. Eliot. | Something that I found interesting was the ornateness of so many of the graves... Is there a point to all that? Surrounded by the dead, all the fuss made over a corpse seems pointless. At this point, who could tell the difference between the remains of Henry V and the remains of the lowest peasant?

 Westminster Abbey | June 4

after Westminster: roaming around | June 4 | the flags of the Commonwealth

I took the Tube by myself for the first time! I ended up falling asleep and missing my stop, but that happens almost everyday at home, so that made me feel like I was doing something right. Besides the great thing about trains is you can always take one back if you go too far,

The Tower of London | at Tower Bridge | Traitor's Gate | Dickie - Yeoman Warder and amazing tour guide

The Torture Chamber | Poll: Do you think it's right to torture prisoners? *Yes, to punish them. *Sometimes, to get information to prevent crimes. *No, it is never right. | << "I will say to you what you will have me say In the honour of God be good to me Farewell dear Friend" | June 5 | [the rack]
