BC: Farewell Alaska! We hope to return to see you soon.

FC: Ford/Hendrickson Alaska Trip 2011

1: CAMPING | What a beautiful view! | This is a picture of our ship The Volendam.

2: These pictures were taken from the front deck of our ship as we went through Tracey Arm. It was such a beautiful sight. Even though it was somewhat cold, We just couldn't make ourselves go inside.

7: Evelyn with a couple of friends. | We thought this building in Skagway was so unique.

8: Hard to believe that the miners actually took this trail with their horses in the dead of winter. H

9: This is the train we took on the White Pass and Yukon Route.

10: These are some of the unbelievable views we got to see from our train trip from Skagway, Alaska to Whitehorse, Yukon Territory Canada.

14: Our Tour Bus | . | No visit to Alaska would be complete without a visit to the North Pole.

15: This is Emily, our tour director. She was just great and made our trip so much fun. | ! | Eric and his group traveled with our group. We kind of got the two of them together.

17: We got to visit a dog sled farm. The dogs were very friendly and liked to be petted. They also really like to run.

18: We went to a rendezvous and Laura was serenaded by the star.

19: Evelyn hit the jackpot with 60 dollars worth of gold.$ | We panned for gold. | We got to see the Alaskan pipeline. First from a distance then up close.

20: While in Fairbanks, we took a paddle boat ride.

21: While on the boat ride we visited the home of Susan Butcher. | Susan was a 4 time Iditarod champion. Her husband and daughters are continuing on with her work and her daughters plan to continue in her footsteps.

22: Denali National Park is a beautiful place. We got to see some caribou, but we weren't close enough to get good pictures.

23: We got our best pictures of wild life at the museum.

24: Beautiful Mt McKinley. We were so fortunate to get to see it | The train ride was spectacular. Great views all the way from Denali to Anchorage.

26: We loved Anchorage. This is how it loked from our balcony.

27: This is the tee shirts that Jack designed for us. Unfortunately they shrunk when washed and we didn't get to wear them.
