92: The top level has Eiffel's office with life-like models of Gustave Eiffel welcoming Thomas Edison. | Pick pocketers EVERYWHERE!!
93: A ticket to the Eiffel Tower includes a 300 step walk up to the first floor and elevator rides to the second and third floors. Michael and I didn't know about the elevator to the second floor. Instead we took the stairs. We took over 600 steps that day. Luckily it was a cool day.

105: First Stop: Pointe du Hoc | Peak between Utah and Omaha beach where Americans invaded France. Germans did not expect the Americans to be able to climb the peak.
106: Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned out undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifice.

112: This museum holds a model of the invasion of the Americans onto a beach in Normandy. | Incredibly, the Americans and the British built a pier overnight. They used it to surprise attack the Germans, which led to our victory in WWII.
115: Honfleur | We couldn't decide on a restaurant. The one Irene finally chose was the worst restaurant on the entire trip. Irene ate sea snails!

122: Dinner at a pub in Bercy with Manuel and Eric. Then walked by the Bercy Biblioteque as we were off to see the Eiffel Tower by night.
