1: Big Bend National Park is a treasure of vast and varied landscape in an area known as the Trans-Pecos.. Seemingly yet to be discovered by most - that WILL change soon. We spent a week in the desert, the Chisos mountains and along the Rio Grande, all a part of Big Bend National Park. Then we visited some small towns in TX and NM. | Big Bend Desert in Bloom

17: Chisos Mountains | We spent two nights at the lodge and experienced a 20 degree daytime temperature change.
18: Painting en plein air and learning a lot about changing light, wind and to create a checklist of needed supplies...masking tape!!! | I took almost 600 photos. Stay tuned for desert landscapes to soon be created. Many opportunities to create thumbnails and journal entries.
20: We loved the hikes in the cooler temperatures of the Chisos. The second morning we awoke to fog!
