Gospel (Matthew 19:3-6) Some Pharisees came up to Him and said to test Him, " May a man divorce his wife for any reason whatsoever?" He replied, "have you not read that in the beginning, the creator made them male and female. " For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and cling to his wife, and the two shall become one, thus they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, let no man separate what God has joined. | Rev. Fr. Tudd Belandres
"There is only one happiness in life, to love and to be loved."
"There is only one happiness in life, to love and to be loved." | "There is only one happiness in life, to love and to be loved."
First Reading (Genesis 2:18-24) A reading from the Book of Genesis The Lord God said," It is not good that a man should be alone. I will make him a helpmate." So, from the soil, the Lord God fashioned all the wild beast and all the birds of heaven. These He brought to the man to see what he would call them. Each one was to bear the name the man would give it. The man gave names to all the cattle, all the birds of heaven, and all wild beasts. but no helpmate suitable for the man was found for him. So the Lord God made the man fall into a deep sleep. And while he slept, He took one of his ribs and enclosed it in flesh. The Lord God built the rib He had taken from the man into a woman and brought her to the man. The man exclaimed," This at last is bones from my bones, and flesh from my flesh." This is to be why a man leaves his father and mother joins himself to his wife, and they become one body. | Nieva Margarico
Second Reading (I Cor. 13:1-3) A reading from 1st letter of Paul to the Corinthians If I had the gift to being able to speak in other languages without learning them, and could speak in every language there is in all of heaven and earth, but did not love others, I should only be making noise. If I had the gift of prophecy and knew all about what is going to happen in the future, knew everything about everything, but did not love others, what good would you do it? Even if I had the gift of faith so that I could speak to mountain and make it move, I would still be worth nothing at all without love. If I give everything I have to poor people, and if I were burned alive and preaching the Gospel but did love each other, it would no value whatsoever. Love is patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do wrong. It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out. If you love someone, you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him. All the special gifts and the power from God will someday come to an end, but love goes on forever. | Prayers of the Faithful For the Holy Church , our Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI and His intentions, Bishops, Priest, Leaders of our nation, and all the faithful... that the Holy Spirit may constantly be with us in His guidance and inspiration. 38: "This day I will marry my friend, the one I laugh with, live for, dream with, love."
D | & | M | I love you not only for what you are, but for who I am when I am with you.
I'm so happy I can finally call this man my husband. It's really a dream come true
The happiest day of my life...
We believe that by Your love we bear witness to the union of Christ and His Church. We believe that we are meant for each other as a sign of Christ love. We believe that we are called to bring each other to God. We believe that we are called to build up a family of God here on earth. We believe that we are meant to give our children service to God and mankind.
Our wedding day has finally come...
Yes, I do Don. I have come here in my own free will and take you as my husband, never forgetting that you are God's best gift to me, ever thanking Him for your love and friendship. We've been through a lot, and yet, after 13 years we're still full of love and full of understanding for each other. May this will continue forever. I promise to give you the best of me and not to ask of you what you cannot give. Instead, I'll recognize and respect you and your own views, traditions, outlook and opinions, to understand that we may differ but yours will never be less important than my own. In times of conflict, I promise to listen to you with an open mind and open heart, with careful words and untainted thoughts, to let my love for you take an upper hand and forgo my pride and ego. I promise to be with you through all triumphs and much more during your defeats, to love and cherish you when times are good and more so, when times are bad. I promise to grow old with you and face the changes for we both shall change in order to grow better and wiser and be the best we could ever be for each other and our children. And before God, our families and friends, I vow to love and accept you in good times and in bad, now and there after the only way I know how, fully, completely and unconditionally.
Believing these things Marianne, I have come here of my own free will and I offer myself to you completely to be your loving husband. Thanking God for bringing you into my life. You know where I came from and accepted me despite of what I've been through; for that reason alone, I'll forever thankful forever embracing the love I offer you. Though we may differ in views, traditions, outlook and opinion. I will always keep an open line for communication; to allow my pride take a backseat, to meet you halfway and to compromise. I will strive to give you and our children a comfortable life. It may not be a glamorous lifestyle or a lavish fortune, but I assure you we will always get by. I promise to be faithful to this marriage; never having any woman other than the one I'm holding at this very moment, I'll always be your best friend, your companion until the day when we're old and wrinkled, whether I'm bald or gray I'll stay by you and hold your hands with a smile in my face never forgetting these words I say today. Now with our friends and families gathered here today, there are only a few words that I've yet to say... With your help I promise to deliver a very good marriage and a happy Christian family not just your dream-wedding day.
Al Last.......My Love Has Come Along
Let us ray to the Lord for Don and Marianne who come to God's altar at the beginning of their married life so that they may always be united in love for each other. Father, stretch out your hand and bless Don and Marianne. Grant as they begin to live in this sacrament, they may share with each other the gifts of your love and become one in heart and mind, as witnesses to your presence in their marriage. Help them to create a home together. Give your blessings to Marianne your daughter, so that she may be a good wife and mother, caring for the home, faithful in love for her husband, generous and kind. Give your blessing to Don, your son so that he may be a faithful husband and a good father, caring for his family, faithful in love for his wife, generous and kind.. Bless both of them with children and help them to be good parents. May they live to see their children's children. And after a happy old age, grant them fullness of life with your saints in the kingdom of heaven.. Father, grant that as they come together to your table on earth to share in your Eucharist, they may one day have the joy of sharing your feast in heaven. We ask them through Christ our Lord. Amen.
