88: Our wedding On behalf of aKASSIE and DAVID i would like to welcome you to this very special day in their lives.... Their wedding day. Lets pray We are gathered here today to celebrate, acknowledge, and to witness the love which brings Kassie and David together on this joyous occasion. I told them last time we spoke, that they not only make a promise to each other, but they are making these promises to GOG. God designed marriage and when couples truly love each other, as Kassie and David do, God blesses them. Gods word says allot about love, Amen. 1Corinthians 13: If I speak with the tongues of men and angels, but I have not love, I am only a resounding gong, or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, And can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, And if i have faith that can move mountains, But I have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I posses to the poor, And surrender my body to the flames, But I have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, It does not boast, It is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, is is not easily angered. Love keeps no record of wrongs. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, love never fails.
89: Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. V.13 these three remain: faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is love. | Have Faith in each other. Share in the common hope for the future. But most of all Love. Let love cover every aspect of your marriage. Let love shine upon your every moment together. Because love never fails, a marriage anchored on love, endures forever.
90: (face each other) Davids Pledge (repeat after me) "I David Curtis Bowen take you Kassandra Leaton to be my wife. Before god and these witnesses, I promise to be your loving and faithful husband... For better, for worse, for richer, for poor, In sickness and in health, To love and to cherish, Till death do us part. According to gods holy ordinances, I give you my pledge." Kassie's Pledge (repeat after me) "I Kassandra Starr Leaton take you David Bowen to be my husband. Before god and these witnesses, I promise to be your loving and faithful wife... For better, for worse, for richer, for poor, In sickness and in health, To love and to cherish, Till death do us part. According to gods holy ordinances, I give you my pledge."
91: Ring ceremony: Exchange rings: Rings symbolize marriage: Gold; precious, circle with no end. David to Kassie "May the rings always remind you of my unending love for you... For is is, with this ring, I thee wed" (place ring on finger) Kassie to David "May this ring always remind you of my unending love for you... For is is, with this ring, I thee wed." (place ring on finger) By the power vested in me by Discovery Chapel and more importantly ALMIGHTY GOD, I now pronounce you Husband and Wife... You may kiss your Bride... Ladies and gentlemen I present to you: "Mr. and Mrs. David Bowen" | July 8th 2011
