FC: 1 | Ralph and Karen's Honeymoon | July4-11 2012
San Francisco | San Francisco was our Plan B destination for a honeymoon. When we were first engaged, we began saving our money for Paris. Ralph had been there, and his enticing stories had me looking forward to spending our honeymoon in the City of Love. When we discovered that the airfares were about twice of what we were expecting, we both agreed that somewhere in our own country might allow us a more financially comfortable trip. So, where? We almost simultaneously said San Francisco! A little investigating proved that the 4th of July would be the best day to travel, and so we had a plan. The following pages hold a visual and written record of our special honeymoon. Paris will come some day, but our trip to San Francisco and the surrounding areas is one that neither of us will ever forget.
Our trip from the airport to the hotel was.......eventful. We took the BART to the financial district, and here we tried to get on to a cable car. Little did we know that the cable car system was bottle-necked all over the city.. It was the 4th of July and EVERYONE was attempting to go up to the wharf to see the fireworks!

Wine Hour | One of the nice things about the Argonaut Hotel is that every day, from 5pm-6pm is Wine Hour. The guests meet in the lobby for free wine and conversation. We barely made it in time for the first night, but were able to enjoy it the night before we left for Napa. Its a fun way to meet and greet new people, and to see some of the Argonaut's most special guests....Pups!
Right next door to the Argonaut was a Wine Tasting Bar. Ralph treated me to a flight before dinner (Remember...we were late for the Wine Hour!) and Wow! We tasted some yummy wines!
 Dinner at the Blue Mermaid
 IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MEMORIES
 Fireworks Over The Bay
We were able to watch the firework show from our hotel room!

Thursday Morning Karen: We had a really nice breakfast and headed over to Pier 39. We got to see it before the stores opened, which was nice for taking photos. I was struck by the beauty of the flowers, and also by the temperature! The temps ran between 50 and 75 degrees the whole time we were there. I loved it! Ralph:
