3: OUR JOURNEY BEGINS...
25: I will keep this speech very short and I'll trust you'll not find me wrong. As King Henry VIII said to his wife's, I shall not be keeping you long. Unlike King Henry VIII I won't be letting my beautiful wife slip away from my grasp. First of all, I would like to thank you all for making the journey out here to share in our special day. Thank you to the bridesmaids Nell, Nieve, Isla, Becky and Sam who all look lovely and have done a wonderful job today. Thank you to Heidi for dressing Mel's hair so beautifully. The biggest thank you, from me and I know from Mel too, goes to the two mum's who have been there every step of the way helping to prepare everything and making such a special day. To John, thank you for giving Mel away to me today. You couldn't get a more beautiful setting to match such a beautiful bride. I'm good with romantic settings, as I'm sure Mel will tell you. I first set my eyes on Mel on a corridor above the mortuary, progressing to propose in the car park next door to the sewerage works, but wherever we are, if we are together then I am the happiest man alive. Mel has bought a beautiful step-son into my life in Finley, she's given me a beautiful daughter in Isla and she's given me the greatest gift of all which is love. To finish, I would like to say a big thank you to my beautiful wife for agreeing o marry me, so please all join me in raising your glasses to Mel.
