 bride and bridesmaids getting ready

You know all those things we've promised and hoped and dreamed - well, I meant it all, every word.

 groom and groomsmen getting ready

"Now in midsummer a wedding. Attend. Applaud. The music must be played lightly, Quietly, at first, like July birdsongs."

"I am yours. You are mine. Of this we are certain."

"Only if two worlds are wide and deep and individual can they be combined... For the more we are, the richer everything we experience is." [Rilke]

"Together wing to wing and oar to oar." [Frost]

You are lodged in my heart

Look at one another and remember this moment in time. Before this moment you have been many things to one another ... now you shall say a few words that take you across a threshold of life, and things will never quite be the same between you.

 the bridal party

You are lodged in my heart, the small key is lost

"There are such connections, which must be a very great, an almost unbearable happiness, but they can occur only between very rich beings...

...between those who have become, each for his own sake, rich, calm, and concentrated" [Rilke]

 Family

No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.

Now you shall say a few words that take you across a threshold of life, and things will never quite be the same between you. For after these vows, you shall say to the world, this- is my husband, this- is my wife.

we are reminded by the words of this event what it is to love and be loved...

we commit ourselves to love each other and to bring to the world the kind of tenderness and compassion defined in this ceremony

"once the realization is accepted that even between the closest people infinite distances exist, a marvelous living side by side can grow up for them...

...if they succeed in loving the expanse between them, which gives them the possibility of always seeing each other as a whole and before an immense sky."

 SMS & MCH

The wedding ring is an enduring symbol of the promises that have been made. From ancient times, rings have been used as symbols of eternity...

The circle is a shape that has no beginning and no end. These rings serve as a symbol that your love is forever, without beginning or end

your love is forever, without beginning or end | let us love one another

I charge ... all of us here, that we may discard any notions that we are merely spectators
