Lynni & Ronsy, We hope this book reflects the happiest day we have experienced together. Thank you for helping us make our dream a reality. We love you - Erica & Patrick
Mr. and Mrs. Walbert, do you support your daughter in marriage today and welcome Patrick into your family? Yes, we do. Erica says that the two of you taught her how to be an independent person and to know what is really important in life. Her positive attitude and happy demeanor is a result of your never-ending support and guidance.
And now, please take the light from your candle and light your child’s candle, passing the flame. Do not extinguish the individual candles, because you do not give up your individuality in marriage, but bring your spark to a greater flame.
The glass of wine you are about to share is symbolic of the cup of life. And as you share it - you promise to share all that the future may bring. All the sweetness the cup of life may hold should be sweeter because you drink it together; and whatever drops of bitterness it may contain should be lessened because they are shared.
I love you. You are my best friend. I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you, and to always hold you in the highest regard. I promise to share my life with yours, to support you through times of trouble, and to rejoice with you in times of happiness. I am thankful that I have found you. May our marriage be a gift to our families and friends, as your love is a gift to me.
And long, long years from now, may you look at one another and be able to say, “Because of you, I have lived the life I always wanted to live – because of you, I have become the person I longed to be.”
Mr. & Mrs. Patrick & Erica Ely
'cause I'm keeping you forever & for always; we will be together all of our days
Dad, as we dance here tonight on my wedding day, I think about how incredible it has been to have you as my father. This song has been a song that we like to just kick back and drink some beers to on the porch. But this song also talks about the main lessons you have taught me growing up: live the life you please, always be strong, everything will always work out just fine, and always be there for the ones you love until the end of the line. I love you, Dad. Thank you for always being there. Thank you for loving mom and raising two super sweet kids in a true, loving partnership. I will take what I learned from the two of you and apply it to my marriage with Patrick. Now, let’s keep on dancin’!
