27: Laura & Robert, There are many obstacles and challenges in life’s journey. As young adults, we learn to adapt to our surroundings. We learn to take pride in our family. We meet all of our challenges with arms wide open. We make life changing decisions. We rely on our own soul and wisdom to guide us. Marriage is a commitment where you fall in love with a personality, but you must live with a character. Marriage requires trust, compassion, understanding, and love. Sometimes you have to step back and put yourself in the other person’s shoes. You need to trust without a doubt that the situations you are faced with will be met by both of you with careful consideration. When you truly realize what you have, there will be nothing or no one that can break that bond. Having the knowledge that you are not alone in these decisions is the foundation of what transforms a marriage into a family. You need to be compassionate with each other, Support each others’ goals, embrace each others ideas, enhance each others strengths and compensate for each others weaknesses. Be each others loving ear and shoulder to cry on. This will allow you to process your fears and decompress your soul. You need to know what kind of person you are now, what kind of person you were, and what kind of person you want to become to truly be the best partner for each other. There will be arguments, there will be annoyances, there will be misunderstandings, but at the end of the day, there will be Laura and Robert. You two are privileged to have found someone who inspires, motivates, supports, and most importantly loves you unconditionally. You must hold on to it, nurture it, and cherish every moment. Laura, I have known you from the day you came into this world. Not only are you my one and only sister, but you are one of my first true loves. Robert, I have been fortunate enough to have spent quality time with you, I know deep in my heart that you love her and will be there for her. Robert and Laura, I Love you both. ~ Christian ~

I promise to stay by your side, loving you, and cherishing all of our moments together. I will love, honor, and cherish you for the rest of my life. I give my life to you with unconditional love. I wed thee, from this day forward, for better and for worse, for riches and for poverty with all my heart and affection. I promise to love you with an unselfish devotion, care for you with love and tenderness, and always seek to strengthen and encourage you; mind, body, and spirit. My sacred promise is to stay by your side in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow. I promise to comfort you in times of distress, laugh with you and cry with you, and love you without reservation for as long as we both shall live. I love you, and I am thankful for the love that has bound our hearts and lives together in marriage. I will always be your friend and companion, and I will be true and loyal to you forever.
