16: On August 5, 2011, Brandon picked up Holly for their regular Friday night date. It was almost their one-year anniversary of dating, which Brandon had said he wanted to reach before proposing. He had told her to dress nicely because they were going to a nice restaurant. But halfway there, he blindfolded her and drove the rest of the way. She had been suspicious he might ask her on this date, but this confirmed it: something was definitely up. He took her to Jordan Valley Park, where she figured out they weren't going to a restaurant because she felt grass underfoot. When he removed the blindfold, there was a red journal with balloons tied to it. He wanted her to read the journal, which contained a poem he'd written just for her. Then he got down on one knee and asked the question. She said yes, and he turned her around to point at his brother, Boyd, who had been filming the whole scene from behind her. They had a brief scare when they thought he had pressed the wrong button on the camera and missed it, but it turned out all right and the footage was there. After the park, they went to the Tower Club, a restaurant on the 22nd floor of Hammons Tower, so it was in fact a nice restaurant. From the windows, they could look down on the park where he proposed.
