3: Summer camp is all about giving the kids a place to have fun and enjoy themselves instead of being on the streets or in the house. -Kiara Jones | Afterschool & Summer Programs

4: I remember when we had the block club party. There were clowns, a jumping bean, activities, food, a guest singer, and a talent show. -Jariel House

5: BLOCK PARTIES | I remember when Ben 1 came and sang. I was so excited, I never had a good close up of him. -Kiara Jones

6: Cinco De Mayo One of the things that I remember was when I was on stage singing. I felt happy that my mom, little brother, and cousin came. I had the best time ever. -A’Kieya Young

7: My favorite memory was the Halloween Party at the Center. The kids dressed up and played games. Two people dressed up like Michael Jackson and they had a dance contest to see who could dance like him the best. -Darshena G. | Halloween Party

9: Girls and Boys Girls and boys We all come from different places We might not look like each other or sound the same But boys and girls of Germano-Millgate can come together and play Get along with each other Girls and boys we love all But no one is gonna fall. -Craieasha Mitchem | Friends and Family I believe that friends and family are important because they will always be there for you. Friends will help you when you need help. One thing I love about family is that they will never let you down. I also love that my family will love you no matter what. -Jamel Parker

10: My greatest memory is when the older guys hosted a basketball tournament. It’s my favorite memory because I really showcased my talent in front of some of the men I look up to. They really started to show me the respect I deserved. -Adrian Mercado

12: One of my best memories was making my own mosaic bench with archi-treasures. I named my design "crazy stairs." -Ashley Swanigan | archi-treasures

13: My best memory is when I worked for archi-treasures and we helped build the Velodrone (cycling ramp)on 86th and Brandon. We all worked as a team, then after we ate and had a little fun. -Jameela Perkins

14: Having fun! | J.N.Thorpe School

15: I graduated Thorpe with many of my friends. It is a place I will never forget because of the teachers. They motivated me to work hard no matter what and to always have a goal in mind. They are just like family. -Darshena G. | J.N. Thorpe is great-It taught me almost everything I know. The teachers are great. Before I went to Thorpe, I had D’s, C’s and F’s on my report card, but now I have A’s and B’s. It helped me improve my life. -Kiara Jones
