Caroline #23 | I like playing soccer because it is aggressive, fun and a team sport. I mostly enjoyed the tournaments and coach's pool parties. I liked Coach Chris's water balloons but didn't much like the laps and sit-ups when we didn't do the right thing. I want to be a Physical Therapist when I grow up. | Caroline has grown into an incredible athlete and fierce soccer player. She is a tenacious defender. Caroline is a joy to coach and is always eager to learn. Coach Chris
Katy #34 | I like to play soccer because it just feels like the right sport for me. I would like to play at least in middle school. This past season I enjoyed meeting new team mates and playing around with each other. At practice I liked getting better so we could go out and cream the other teams but I hated to run laps. I don't really know what I want to be when I grow up because I play two sports and next year I have to choose and I really don't know. | I have had the pleasure of coaching you for the last three years. During this time, I have seen your skills increase tremendously. Playing goalie has not always been your first choice, but you have done it for the team. Your play in the field always provides a spark for the team just when we need it. Coach Rick
RoseMarie #5 | Soccer is fun. I want to keep playing and get a scholarship. I like the tournaments that we went to. I also liked the different games we played at practice and how we always do something new. I didn't much like running laps though. When I grow up, I want to be an engineer. | For the first year that I coached you, I didn't know if you could talk. Now you always have a comment or some sort of remark to remind me of something I promised. This year you have really developed your abilities and given the team a solid player in the midfield. Your versatility to play everywhere on the field points to your development as a soccer player. Coach Rick
Sydney #10 | I like soccer because it is the one place I can be myself. I would like to be the best athlete I can be and play soccer in high school and college and then the women's U.S. team. I really liked scrimmaging and there was nothing about practice that I didn't like. I love practice and want to be a pro soccer player or a cop when I grow up. | What can I say? "Sid-Vicious". You always bring a new perspective to practices and game time. Always a comment or interjection no matter the subject. You always bring your "A-game" and toughness to each game. Coach Rick
Camille #1 | I like soccer because it is fun and I want to be famous one day. I like practicing when we scrimmage but not when we run laps. When I grow up I want to be a famous soccer player! | I remember the first time I saw you at tryouts three years ago. The neon green matching outfit. I thought to myself, she needs to play for me! Although the youngest, you always play with your heart and you leave everything on the field. Switching to defense this season was tough but you adapted wonderfully and have mastered the position. Coach Rick
Summer # 3 | My "little coach". Always letting me know what to do and when I need to do it. I have coached you for the last three years with great pleasure. Your play on the field continues to improve with each passing season. Although the girls around you have gotten bigger, you have not allowed that to deter your willingness to always play hard. Coach Rick | I like working with my team and having competition and the fun of the game. I would like to continue playing and one day go onto Nationals like Abby Wambach. I like practices when we scrimmage but not so much when we run suicides and laps or do boring drills. I want to be a director or soccer player when I grow up.
Taina #11 | I like soccer because it is fun and I'm good at it! I want to be the next Hope Solo. I like everything about practice and playing with my friends but it is not as exciting as a game. | Taina is the team darling. She has a bright smile and everybody loves her. She moves with grace and has become a great goalie. I look forward to watching her play in the coming years in JUSA and for Cleveland Middle School. Coach Chris
Bryce # 12 | I like soccer because I get to hit people and bang around. In the future, I want to score more goals. I like practice because I get to learn from my mistakes and learn how to do it right but I don't like it when Coach yells at me. When I grow up, I want to be a Vet. | Bryce is one of the most determined girls I have ever coached. She continually strives to improve. She is not only fun to coach, but always has a funny story or interesting fact to share. Coach Chris
Hannah #9 | Soccer is fun! I enjoy my team mates and the away tournaments. I want to be a professional soccer player in the future. I really liked Coach Rick and Coach Chris and the pool parties. I liked learning new things at practices and the cupcakes. I didn't like doing push ups though. I want to be a professional soccer player or a vet or nurse when I grow up. | Well "two-socks and shoes". Such a wonderful girl. Always so nice wanting to let me know what's going on. You have shared so many stories it would take 12 pages to reflect on them all. I have played you all over this year and each time you have been on the field giving it your all no matter what position. Coach Rick
Holland #6 | Soccer lets me run, meet new friends and have a good time. I would like to keep playing in the future. I enjoyed bonding with my new friends mostly. I liked doing shooting drills and settling punts during practice but I don't like playing defense and like everyone else, doing laps. I want to be a professional horseback rider when I grow up. | My "little pony" girl always sharing with me the tales of your pony and what you have been doing. The stories of how your sister is always bothering you and how you get back at her are comical. Also remember no cartwheels in the house. The soccer skills you exhibit on the field are a pleasure to watch. Continue playing and shoot at every opportunity you have. Remember, something good will always happen around the goal. Coach Rick
Hunter # 79 | I wish you were a lot smaller for all of the times I have carried you off the field for injuries. Never have I seen someone get hurt so much but you always bounced back with a positive outlook and attitude. Playing the most demanding position on the field, I have always asked a lot from you. Your response has always been to play hard and you never want to come off the field. Coach Rick | I like soccer because it gives me a chance to be outside and show my speed! Also when when I'm ticked off at my sister, I can get my anger out on the field. In the future I would like to try to make the high school team and then attempt to play in college and get a scholarship. I like when we do fun drills at practice and there's not a lot of yelling but I hate when we have to run a lot of laps and the coach keeps yelling at us. I want to be a Vet when I grow up.
Coach Rick | Coach Rick and Coach Chris helped improve my cushioning the ball and to make better kicks. They pointed out things I was doing wrong and they took time to show me how to fix it. | They taught and retaught me things and made me a better soccer player | I like that they talk to you on the side when they see something you can improve on and that they don't constantly yell at us while we are playing a game | Coach Rick; His hair, he's funny, When he puts me on offense and tells me I played good and celebrates birthdays | I like how they make us do things over and over again until we get it right and I like that they encourage us to try new things and never give up. They are the best soccer coaches I have ever had! | They take the time to make me a better soccer player and tolerate me when I get angry or frustrated with myself
Coach Chris | "Our primary goal is to have fun. We will focus all of our attention on this goal." | Coach Chris; How he says, "good job kid", and he is nice. | He helps me with things I am not good at. | I appreciate all of the coaches help and support | Coach Rick and Coach Chris are good coaches | The coaches help you see your mistakes. They show you rather than tell you. | I like how the coaches communicate and train us, also the support they give.
