Jun 2011: JUNE
Jun 2011: June was a pretty exciting month, as we acquired three new family members. Juniper arrived on the 3rd, and Tihun and Solomon came from Ethiopia a week later. Eileen and Glenda came back from their Europe trip and went (with David, Alex and Erica) to Brooklyn as soon as possible to meet our new relations. Then Eileen flew to Illinois to see her granddaughter. She was the first family member to meet all three newcomers.
May 2011: Yes, The European vacation is dominating this calendar, but it was a really good trip! Here are pictures of Glenda and Eileen on the woodcarving hike in Axalp, Switzerland, and at the top of the Rothorn in Brienz. Jan 2011: JANUARY
Jan 2011: The year started out with a whole lot of snow. This didn't bother Alex too much, shoveling aside, as he enjoyed his job at the local ski hill so much. One duty was to dress up as the mascot, Campgaw Chuck, an oversized woodchuck.
BC: Aunt Nita, Dana Geiss and Dana's mom, Marilyn, met us in Boston. They attended the "graduation" ceremony for Alex's summer program, and got to see all the film projects he had worked on while there. It was very impressive. Above is an artistic shot of Boston by David. To the left is Eileen in Switzerland. On the front cover; The view Eileen and Glenda had from their hotel room in Brienz, Switzerland; Aunt Lotte, Alex and Gabriela Riccardi before the Jr. Prom; Washington, D.C. over spring break.
